Great Piece of Kit
For the money, this camera is fantastic! Images are clear, both in daylight and using the infra-red LEDs, and the connection to my wi-fi is very stable. Just a few points to note:1 – Initial setup is pretty straightforward, and the software included on the cd works well on any browser, it seems. But be aware that if you want to adjust the motion detection area or fine tune the sensitivity beyond the default low/medium/high options to avoid false alarms then you’ll need to contact the seller for instructions, as they will then send you a link to updated software (but the email support is very good, so this isn’t an issue), and note that you’ll need to run this updated software in Internet Explorer in order to use this config option. I personally prefer the old software that came on the cd for normal live views or checking recordings, so I use that day-to-day, but I also keep the other software available for configuration.2 – When mounting externally, if you choose to protect the wiring from the elements in a conduit (as you should), then be aware that the Ethernet plug will only go through a conduit of 25mm minimum – don’t be tempted to try 20mm, unless you plan to cut the cable and splice the plug back on afterwards.3 – As mentioned in previous reviews, I don’t think it’s worth drilling a huge hole in the wall and taking all the wires through – a 12mm hole will suffice for just the power lead and plug.4 – When using infra-red, if it rains overnight you’ll have a lot of recordings by the morning, as raindrops will trigger the motion detection. This is also the case with insects flying in front of the lens, possibly attracted by the LEDs. I’m still experimenting with reducing the sensitivity beyond the default ‘low’ setting to avoid this as much as possible.**Edit - oops - for some reason the picture is displaying rotated by 90 degrees!

Very Impressed
Splendid.... My camera was so easy to install, I have been wondering for some time now how my BT dual automatic hub would respond but I had no problem. I followed the Cooau manual carefully page by page, and within 30 minutes the camera was up and running using the 2.4GHz section of my router automatically. The camera is ideal for my situation where I prefer to get a push notification rather than an email, the reason being that I have a couple of other security cameras but I find that if someone passes the camera too quickly and I need to identify them by freezing the video but this causes the restart symbol to be in the way...whereas a still photo is clearer and can be zoomed in to some extent. I have yet to install an SD card but I like the system as it is for now where I can take a still photo of the action (or see a false alarm) which is sent to my camera picture folder. Just at the moment I am having some difficulty in recording a video from the app, I have managed it a couple of times but when I try to replay I only get about a quarter of the saved clip, but most times even though the screen shows the camera as recording, I get no picture at all. I suspect that there might be some setting that I can alter when I get things figured out properly, but my phone was not an expensive model and might be struggling to cope. As I say, the system suits my needs at present - nice clear picture too. The user disk provided works well in my Toshiba laptop but for now I'm not into email notifications so I'm finding the CamHi app adequate for now. Anyone wanting an easy to set up camera system needn't be afraid of any complications in getting it to work...I'm certainly no boffin with modern technology, but if I could get the system up and running quickly, then I'm sure anyone can thanks to the easy to follow manual. 5 stars will follow when I sort out the reason for my video glitch. Hope my review helps anyone struggling to make up their mind about coping with home cctv installation....Day 3.... Fitted a 16Gb class10 SD card today. Now when the motion detection is set up I get an audible warning plus a video that I can watch to see what has caused the event. I still have no reason to connect up the email system but if I do decide to have a shot at it later on I'll update my review again. Finally I have managed to get all the systems that I am interested working for me. I now have two cameras on my laptop which is useful for home viewing with a much bigger picture than my phone screen. I have decided not to use the email function because as we all know motion alarms are subject to wind/animal/birds and often give false notifications....If I need recordings while away from home, e.g.shopping or dog walking, I find the 'Timing Record' is very useful. I set mine for ten minutes (600 seconds) which means that the cameras do a short recording every ten minutes....anyone visiting is usually caught on one of the cameras. If I stayed away overnight I would probably use the motion detection which will give an audible alert. The picture quality is good...there is a very slight hesitation (pause) while recording a moving person, probably while the camera writes to the sd card. Overall I am very happy with my setup, obviously there are much dearer models available depending on your requirement Modern technology moves along so quickly nowadays it's hard to keep up, but the support service from the company is first class, they are most keen on making sure that the customer gets all the help needed. This is so important when you get stuck..... so if you do have any difficulties don't be afraid to ask them for help. Good Luck.

Good CCTV product, excellent service, all round winner
Very good product giving me exactly what I want for peace of mind when we're away from the house. The ability to receive alarm emails and to access the camera remotely are very useful functions. The cameras are easy to configure and install and so far seem resistant to a very wet winter to date. The picture quality is good on the 720p version. I bought two and one had an intermittent fault so the sellers provided me with a FOC replacement. The after sales support team is very good indeed and helped me greatly with the faulty camera. As a tip the CAMHI application for phones is okay but not as functional as the IP CAMERA functionality that is provided by accessing the device using a conventional laptop web browser (by using the IP address in the URL bar). This is very powerful and provides all the functionality you need to really configure the cameras as you want them. The only odd thing is that full functionality was only available using Internet Explorer and not other web browsers (very strange indeed).

Reasonable budget camera with limited functionality.
Not the best or easiest. Setup was through LAN to configure the WiFi and the huge connectors for the Ethernet are hard to hide once installed.App is clunky, and confusing to navigate. Unit itself is solid and power cable is a decent length.Camera is best suited to long range application rather than short due to its incapacity to display wide angles and no ability to zoom in or out.I think there are probably better units on the market.
