The media could not be loaded. Doesn’t fit properly to my DC50. I had to slam the extender into the hoover to get the top part to lock so I could actually use it.

Does the job easy to install and has good suction. I replaced the hose due to a split and loss of suction. This replacement part is a very very snug fit. When you replace the hose back after use it is very difficult to put the wand back in to the hose due to it being a tight fit. Not sure if after time it losens up. This is very frustrating when retuning the wand to the back of the machine. You will need to also manually trigger the compression of the wand to attach it back on to the vacuum. All in all of you want the same performance as original Dyson part spend the extra for that and you will not be dissatisfied. If you need a cost effective part please be aware you will need to be patient with this part. This may be too much for some people to live with if they use the wand regularly.

A bit of a fiddle to change the black one but with a bit of care you end up with another 10 years of use.

Fairly easy to fix with the help of a Youtube video and borrowed Torx screwdrivers. Refitting the spring required a dozen attempts.
