Q: My cream cane with a strange layer of darker oily substance on top of the actual product, that I have never seen before. What us that?!

this does not sound normal. I have had few jars of this hand cream now, and the colour has been uniform though out. maybe the cream is old, is there a sell by date on the jar. if it has gone beyond the sell by date when you purchased it, maybe you can get a refund. or try mixing the oily layer with the rest of the product. it sounds like the product has separated, which normally only happens when it is old.

Q: Does it smell like Loccitane one?as I am trying to find cheaper alternative ,many thanks

It has an almond smell I am not familiar with the Loccitane fragrance

Q: The advert says '100% natural' - but is this correct? Is 'parfum' really 'all natural'? Also, is 'phenoxyethanol' a type of alcohol?

It says 99% natural origin, with nutrient rich botanicals, phenoxyethanol is 4th from the last ingredients, so there won't be a lot in it. I will say it's a brilliant cream, I use it on my neck even though it says hand cream, I really love it and I like the smell it's also a good thick cream, not watery like some. Buy it, you won't regret it.
