Stepsaver Wall and ceiling texture matching sponge with mix storage bowl combo

Worked great! My first time using a texture sponge, but found it very easy to apply.

I had a wall that I kind of messed up by trying to redo the drywall myself. This came in really handy and the texture turned out great

The product worked great but application notes would make matching the existing texture with less trial and error: 1. Use Joint Compound instead of Spackle. 2. Probably need to thin the compound to adjust the texture. 3. Sponge has a small and large pore side for different textures (small versus large Popcorn). 4. Orange Peel textures are tricky. Might have to try multiple dab passes with thin texture.

Wish I had discovered this sooner! Just dab the sponge over the repair after taping up and it effectively appears like you sprayed it with a can.

Not a bad sponge set, especially in offering both textures in one. Only complaint is that the orange peel side doesn't really look anything like orange peel. It looks like a finer knockdown pattern. Orange peel's primary characteristic is blobbiness, big blobs and medium blobs and small blobs and tiny blobs. But this sponge's orange peel side makes little peaks and valleys, just like the knockdown side, but a lot milder. But it's okay. I mean, compared to those stupid cans of orange peel that cost a fortune and run out immediately, this sponge works fine for a small patch. I wouldn't want to do a whole wall with it, but for a small patch it's okay and may even benefit from a light pass with a knockdown knife.

Doesn’t get a texture even remotely close to orange peel and has no documentation, instructions or videos to use the product. Save yourselves a few bucks and buy the spray orange peel texture cans instead.

for the price i'd expect a larger sponge then what was received (the dimensions are in the picture so it's mu fault) but be warned, it's small
