Gas Stove Essential
I've upgraded to this from the plastic triangle stand that's available in most camping stores, the weight is about the same but this has a much wider base and so it's much more stable. If you camp, you'll know that it's a pain trying to balance a pot if the ground isn't perfectly level but this is easy to use and I've not had any issues with it leaning or tiling when you put your pot of water on.While it's more expensive than the plastic stands I've found it is easier to stow away in my camp pot setup and it feels much more robust.

Snug fit
Fits small cartridge really snugly. Expensive compared to the plastic ones, but just so much better. Packs down well, already an essential item for my backpacking rucksack -- will be nice not having to worry about the toppling towering inferno so much.

it's great
This is good quality and does what it says, keeps your gas cylinder sturdy, never seen one before I would buy again but only when I loose this one.

Probably the best
This thing is awesome! My son is doing his DofE and I was concerned about the stability of his camping stove (large full pan above small light cylinder, recipe for disaster). I was deciding which plastic fold out stand to buy when this one popped into view (for once I'm glad of the dreaded adverts linked to my searches). So after reading reviews for this one and how good it seemed to be and plenty of bad reviews for the plastic ones, I was convinced I'd be best off to pay double and go for this one. Since it arrived I've been planning my own camping trip, it's a simple bit of kit but so thought out and fits the bottle perfectly. I did a little test in the garden with a heavy saucepan (some fried chicken) and I had no concerns about the pan being top heavy. This isn't cheap but then I'd never forgive myself for skimping on a few £s if my son was to get scalded because his stove toppled over. I'm 100% happy with this one and didn't even look any further.

Stand does the job
Was looking for a light & compact base to fit a Coleman C300 gas canister for son's DofE expedition. The MSR Universal Canister Stand, which uses a spring clamp system, delivered what I was after.

Excellent stand
I've had a Primus plastic stand (c£5) for years. It finally broke and I got this. It's c 3 times the price of the Primus and about 100 times better. It's very ight, not that long (c13cms) and the two short arms have a good reach c(12cms). It's metal so it will last. Just make sure you keep the two rivets that pivot the arms rust free and you should get many years service from this. The longer arm has a sturdy, sprung, plastic grip on it (the black bit you can see in the picture). This is what sets it apart from the Primus and makes it a must have. It "grabs" a 110gm or 230grm or 500grm canister effortlessly and securely; the Primus is well fiddley on this aspect. Spend the money, get this and get a proper job!

Strong, stable, well designed and manufactured stand
A well designed and manufactured 34gm/1.2oz stand. Fits firmly to my Jetboil 100gm 90mm/3.5"; Campingaz CV300 240gm 90mm/3.5"; Primus 230gm 110mm/4.25" cannisters. If the stove is picked up, the stand remains attached. No flex detected when I loaded it with burner and pan. Useful 12mm/0.5" clearance to span over bumps in the ground. The 240mm/9" diameter is superbly stable and can be easily made level with a rock under one foot. Slots in feet will take a peg to prevent stove being toppled if accidently knocked. The lighter, cheaper plastic alternatives may have worked as well but I did not want to take the risk of stand failure in the wild described by others in the many negative reviews.
