Ant-Man [Blu-ray] [Region Free]

Ant Man is 2015's Gaurdians of the Galaxy! This is a superhero movie with little known about it unless your a die hard comic book reader so a lot could have gone wrong. But for me everything was spot on. First Paul Rudd was a surprisingly good lead and the very well and he was both emotionally believable and kept his comedy talents and through them in at the right moments. Then there's Michael Douglas, he is fantastic and showed what good actor he is just superb and the rest of the cast all play their roles superbly. The plot isn't over complicated as this is an origins story of sorts but before you all go "oh no not another super hero origin" this one works and is needed. Overall the film is a treat,and 117mins well enjoyed!

This was one of the best films of the year, I think in a way I liked it more than Age of Ultron. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed Ultron as well, but it made a change to see a superhero movie that was small scale, such fun characters, action and humour. In fact, I liked this far more than the Winter Soldier and both the Thor movies. You don't need to be Captain America or Iron Man to save the day. The effects were excellent and so was the acting. The picture quality is also terrific, this is one of the best blu-rays I have in that area. I hope Captain America:Civil War will be another strong entry like Ant-Man.

Compared with other MCU flicks, this one is the least serious of the bunch. Maybe it has something to do with the main character (Paul Rudd who was excellently chosen for the role) who is the most laid-back superhero among those already introduced in the movies. In fact, the lighter mood is a welcome change from the usual plots and characterizations in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The fight sequence between Ant-Man and Falcon managed to be entertaining, no matter how brief it is. PQ and AQ are both outstanding in this release.Truly this is an enjoyable addition to my list of MCU blu-rays.

This is another great fun action adventure from the team at Marvel studios. Introducing a new character into the MCU is made to seem easy and pretty seamless overall. The chemistry between Paul Rudd, Michael Douglas and Evangeline Lilly is wonderful and the action is fun and frenetic. Overall I love this film and the atmosphere it has. Much more a semi serious caper movie than a deadly serious action adventure. The few weaknesses are the same as in a lot of Marvel Films. The villain seems under developed and his motivations are a bit weak. Also there seems to be little actual peril for a lot of the film. But as an evening in it is a great entertaining film.

Loved this - there was some humour mixed in with the action, typical of the other Marvel films. Paul Rudd is well cast as the super hero (who knew it would possible?) and Michael Douglas was excellent in the secondary lead. The Avengers get a mention as well, tying this character in with forthcoming Avengers films. And keep watching when the credits start to roll - there is a little surprise.

I'm not a huge fan of super-hero movies, but this one had some good humour and action scenes, and the scenes near the end were so well done and left me in stitches that I have to recommend it. Good performances from the cast, decent pacing, and the Blu-ray quality was great as well.

Definitely one of the better Marvel Universe films! There's no real need to have watched the other Marvel films to see where this fits in as it is a marvelous stand alone film in it's own right. All of the characters were brilliantly cast with Paul Rudd definitely stealing the show. Fun for all the family!

It's two hours where the whole family can sit down and enjoy a movie together.
