Q: Does this have the same quality as presonus bluetube dp v2 2-channel mic/instrument tube preamp

Hi Matthew, you must have meant to ask this on another item. Your question came through on the BlueTube DP V2 product page. I can tell you the BlueTube DP V2 is a great sounding preamp though!

Q: Has anyone used this in in a setup with a mixer's output going into this device, then into a power amplifier with good results?

My usage is (2) different ways. 1) from my keyboard to the bluetube channel 1 for keyboard sounds and from my keyboards mixer out for the vocal harmonizer on to a wireless microphone that is routed to bluetube channel 2 then both channels go to the mixer a Peavey at10 or bt6 which then sends the output to Maui 5 powered speakers. If I am playing on a house piano I will just route the wireless to the bluetube channel 2 and then to the mixer. Either way adds a nice warm sound to both my keyboard and my voice!

Q: Can you hook a EQ and a amplifier to this ? For home stereo use ?

You can I suppose. Would take some specific cables but this is not really what this is designed to do - this is a pre-amp for aiding in the recording of instruments/vocals via. Hope that helps.

Q: I do voice over work & like to wet my vocals. How’s this preamp on voiceovers?

It sounds good as a way to get my sax and clarinet louder. Not sure about wet vocals. Do you mean reverb? That’s not in this unit.

Class for low cost....

This is a very neat unit that performs well, especially at the price. The 'valve sound' facility is subtle when used in moderation and adds some warmth to the overall sound. I changed the Chinese 12AX7 with a USA Jan Philips 12AT7 and whilst this reduced the amount of gain available it made the sound and control much improved. VU meters are a nice touch to days gone by....only criticism is the abscence of an on/off switch....other than that it's a fine purchase.
