The media could not be loaded. I use this as a childminder working with some children that struggle with transitions. This is so easy to operate and helps ease transitions for going outdoors, food or toileting routines, and general understanding of time. You can turn the volume up and down for children who don’t like the loud noises. The light can also be quite bright so you can turn it towards the wall to have it glow against the wall. Highly recommend to support little ones with transitions in their daily life.

I always leave an honest review, and I usually have an improvement or two that could be made. However, this has proven to be the most valuable tool in our household, without a doubt.My son is 5, autistic, needs to know exactly what's coming and is rigid in his routines. The time tracker has become the sole reliance for him to understand when something starts, is nearly over, and when something has to end. It changes from green, through yellow and finally red. It also has the benefit of a countdown on top, which my son finds useful and enjoys (he loves numbers). There is a short tune that plays in between the colours and another at the very end. It is extremely useful that this has a volume control for those autistic people who may be sound sensitive, like my son, who prefers a lower volume.USEFUL TIP:My son is very sensory and quite light sensitive, so I was glad that the lights on the timer do not reach all the way around. As there is no option to dim the lights, I turn it slightly into the wall so that the light does not affect him as much.There are numerous options and it is quite tricky to get to grips with it to begin with, but once you've got the hang of the controls, you're good to go. There is a timer option, which you can choose how long each light colour will last for, very useful for those who struggle with ending a task as you can prolong the red colour. And there is an auto timer option, whereby you set an amount of time and the timer averages out how long each colour should be (red being the shortest), this works for my son, but may not for some.Before the time tracker, we struggled with telling our son when something was about to begin or end (bathtimes, iPad, time to get dressed, how long before we go out), he would constantly ask "how long" without really understanding time. Life has become so much easier since we bought this brilliant tool!It seems pricey but honestly, it's worth more than its weight in gold and I'm certain this will be a brilliant resource to any parent or family with a child who struggles with time, whether autistic or not.Edit: my son is now 10 and doesn’t need this as much, we now have a two year old daughter with suspected autism that I will test this out on… watch this space!!

I thought for a long while before purchasing this item as I felt it was rather expensive for what it was however with a 3 year old needing some screen time boundaries I decided to take the plunge. I am useless with technology but find this very easy to use. It’s simplistic but this works for me. Especially good for letting little one know when an activity is about to change and I’ve found this has prevented meltdowns on a number of occasions-priceless! Only down side is I haven’t been able to work out how to cancel the timer or change it once it’s set...

Fantastic idea and a lot of variations. You can set to auto for x amount of time and the monitor will split x amount of time equally between the lights. Or you can do manual and select x amount of time for each light, you can choose different sounds for each light and you can choose not to have a light appear also. Could be confusing setting it up but I personally had no issues. I think it's a fantastic price and great quality.

We were really looking forward to using this tracker for my 10 year old son who has ADHD and whose time perception is very poor. After adding the required batteries we did set up the clock and then the auto-mode alarm but the tracker’s coloured lights and alarm sound dont function. Though the minutes get counted down on the timer nothing happens at the said stages and the sound of the final alarm can barely be heard. Such a shame. I feel very disappointed in this purchase.

We use it to help our 4year old get a sense of time. It works a treat to limit screentime with his tablet. We give him 15mins. 2minutes before the end the amber light comes on, we tell him "you have 2 more minutes" then the red light comes up. and he switches the tablet off himself. Excellent tool! We could use the timer on our phones, but this is just so much better.

The control interface is definitely not easy to use, however with a bit of practice got used to it. It was great when it worked - was very useful in helping the children get ready in time to leave the house. But unfortunately after a short period the sound stopped working, making it useless. Disappointing as otherwise a good product.
