Some kind of black magic?!
My 18 year old Lexus started jerking, or even slamming between gears. It's an automatic and had always been silky smooth, I thought it might be time for the scrap yard. I had heard about this Lucas product and thought well it's only a few quid, what have I got to lose? The gearbox oil in my car was not low so we drained 3 litres out, added this Lucas product along with the some fresh gear oil. When I started driving it again, it was improved straight away, but as time went on, it got better and better and after a few journeys, the gearbox was back to its old self, silky smooth and no more jerky changes. I don't know how this stuff works but it does.

Good product does the job
I observed that the transmission noise is somewhat quieter than expected. Aside from that, I have no additional evidence to provide. However, it's important to note that the liquid is quite thick, which means it takes longer to pour into the transmission or differential. Please keep this in mind. I brought one extra for Subaru XV rear diff. Hopefully make the rear diff quieter on the highway.

A Great Additive
I have an automatic which transmission seems to been worn and is starting to play up. I bought Lucas as recommended to extend the life of my car. It is rather thick so getting the whole bottle into the filler plug was a bit of a pain, the end result is that I have a far smoother transmission.

Works as expected
I've seen a review by Project Farm and decided to try it on my Volvo V70 2003 auto as it was shifting hard when cold and then flaring when hot. I've only driven about 200km since i filled it with this product, but i can already say that it works at least 50% better. Of course this might change, but as of now I am very happy with this product! Update: after 2000km it seems to be back as it was when the oil is cold. It does stop misbehaving once it heats up (after a good 20min of driving). I don't think I've wasted money but I am not sure if I would buy it again since I do a lot of short trips to work and back.

Jury still out on this
Due to its viscosity - it's a pretty thick substance that drains quite gradually from the bottle - it's probably better to try to warm it up before squeezing the contents into your transmission filler neck or hole. I've been trying to use this in a fairly old automatic gearbox - a ZF 3HP22 - in my 1988 Citroen CX GTi, which has lately been experiencing weird slipping problems, with engine revs spooling up quite dramatically when dabbing the accelerator, but only a gradual increase in road speed. So far, I've only been able to put in about half a bottle, with the rest being dripped in as and when I can, the car only being driven once a week. Based on my observation so far, the slipping doesn't seem to have got any worse, but it's probably a bit early to tell if Transmission Fix will restore the gearbox to what it was before, or at least until I can drain the rest of the bottle into the gearbox.
