This is a great book - even if you live in the uk - I have started the Dave Ramsey plan and so far is going well

Useful even though old, perhaps tried and tested.
Good advice given, explaining, challenging. Describes before, during and after financial things health-wise. Useful, even though old. Adjust to current times as regards interest rates, etc. Otherwise still up-to-date.
