Tsukineko Versafine Ink Pad, Onyx Black

Prints beautifully highly recommend. Can use water colours over print and no running or smudging. Wouldn't use anything else!!

A lovely stamping product - the ink is crisp and clear and very black.It dries reasonably quickly - you can move it a little with water before it dries (it does granulate a little with water) but it appears to be quite permanent once dry.You can, with effort, get a faint very pale wash out of the dry ink... but you'll damage your paper before that.My only gripe? ---> The actual ink pad is TINY - 2 inches by 3 1/2 inches.However... the case lid itself folds back completely to leave the pad totally up and exposed so you can ink a larger stamp by inverting the pad and pressing it down on the stamp.That ability mitigates the smallness of the pad, so still gets 5 stars.Well worth the price for the quality of the ink and the rich sharpness it stamps out.

I recently bought a selection of ink pads to use with my rubber stamp. The stamp I use has very fine detail and was intended to look almost like an intricate pen drawing. It needs to be a bold black colour as well, otherwise it just looks amateur. I found that most of the other pads that I tried from other brands bled a little and dried to be more of a dark grey than black, very disappointing.I can honestly say that there is a world of difference with this versafine ink. I keep a stack of pre stamped papers, a month on and my impressions look as good as the day they were stamped. The black is a true black and somehow this ink is able to bring out the fine details with no bleed whatsoever. I have found that it dries absolutely fine if you wait a few seconds (regular and thin paper). There is no bleed through to the other use either. Just wonderful. I can’t imagine buying anything else now.

Ink is ink right? Nope! How wrong was I! I cannot believe the difference using this ink with my company's logo stamp. Night and day! I usually just buy one for a pound or two...never ever again! Hardly have to push at all on this pad and my logo comes out crystal clear...no faded parts. Dries super quick too. Pay a little extra...it's so worth it! I cannot believe how excited I was with the results...its just ink! Brilliant ink pad!

I'm a fairly new stamper, but wanted to make sure that I got the best pigment ink to save me buying cheaper ones and literally throwing my money down the drain. This ink is the creme de la creme of stamping ink. If you want to stamp really fine details then you can't go wrong with this ink. It's a lot thicker than regular ink, so when loading up your stamp you don't have to rush it and witness your ink separate before you manage to get it on the paper. This is the ink that I not only use one pure white card for a really crisps effect, but I cover this ink with a very fine embossing powder and heat to give the most beautiful gloss. It's so much easier than embossing with glue, and glitter and a whole lot cleaner too. It's also easy to handle too as the lid once opened and flipped becomes the base, so it's super easy to pick up and load onto the stamp with. Fabulous ink, recommend it thoroughly.
