Strong, sturdy and a great way to save water.
I wanted a water butt that I could put up near the back door but not for the normal reason you buy a water butt. I didn’t want to attach a pipe and run rain water into it although this kit comes with all the pipes to do that. I already have a water butt that’s attached to the garage guttering. The reason I wanted this is I have a combi boiler and every time we want to run a bowl of hot water nearly 2 litres disappears down the sink before the water is hot. I decided in an effort to save water I would run the water into a jug and save it to use for watering my plants. This water butt was the perfect size and has already been so useful. My husband adapted the lid to make it easier to remove and we just fill it up every day. It’s meant I don’t have to run a hosepipe to my plants. The tap was very easy to fit, you just screw it in. It hasn’t leaked and you get a good strong flow. The butt is also the perfect height to put a watering can under. The base comes in four pieces which lock together. Once you put the tank on top of it it’s very sturdy and it holds the base in place. The attachments to fit the drain pipe are well made and you just need to make a hole to insert it. This butt is really well made and when I researched which one I was going to buy I decided it was wise to pay a little more and get a good strong sturdy one. I’m very happy with my purchase and it’s certainly going to save a decent amount of water.

Superior Quality At A Good Price
I found this product to be superior to my Strata/Ward 100 ltr butt for several reasons: The 3-part stand is moulded with angled stiffeners and does not buckle when full. The tap (although not a fast-flow because the hose fit connection makes it narrower) operates much more smoothly than my other tap. The Floplast diverter is designed primarily for squareline downpiping, but will fit round-sectioned piping with no modification. In my opinion it is a more secure and tidier fit. Both ports (on either side of the butt) are already cut for the filler tube, and blanked off. So no need for any cutting. I did find that when absolutely full, the unused (blanked) hole does drip a little, so I fitted the spare sealing ring (originally blanking off the tap port) around it, after applying some silicone sealant. Unfortunately, Straght plc/Evengreener don't appear to sell the 3-part stand separately, so I ordered their one-piece stand for my Ward butt directly from the seller (not currently available on Amazon).

Decent Tank for the money
Arrived very quickly and was complete with stand, pipe tap & inlet kit Fairly easy to install but you will need a 26mm hole cutter to fix the inlet pipe. Tap is pre-cut and threaded so no problem here. Stand come in four sections and is pain, best drill and bolt each section together first. D/Pipe kit is easy to fit and does work quite well. Bit flimsy. Otherwise it's a decent tank for the money.

Great price, great quality.
Really happy with these. I bought two and a connecting kit. The base is one piece, it's lightweight but sturdy enough on a flat surface to hold the butt. When empty it feels like it might blow over, however it seemed to hold it's own on the windy weekend I put them up. It was really easy to attach the first butt to the drainpipe, you will need a hacksaw to cut through the drainpipe, but that's the only tool you'll be using. The plugs all popped out easily and the tap screwed in tightly and using the rubber washer provided made a good seal. It's been set up for a couple of weeks now and there's no leaking. Connecting the two butts was just as simple, just pop out the rubber bungs and screw the tube in place. The tube I got was a little long, but I've just moved the butts apart a bit further so that it sits straight. I had a weekend of non stop rain (not particularly heavy) and it filled the first butt and half of the second butt in that time, so it doesn't take long to fill them. I may get a third one in time to join just to add to the capacity. They are slim enough to move fairly easily, even when full I could shuffle into a better position. I didn't want the really big fat ones, these ones are tall and slim and bit more elegant (well in as much as a water butt can be). I am very happy with these purchases and the price I thought was really good for the quality. Would definitely recommend.

What it says on the box.
Another good experience with Amazon products. An ingenious yet simple attachment to the gutter's down pipe and you have a plentiful supply of rainwater for your plants as long as we get the rain which we have not for the last 2 months where I live in London. You only need a hacksaw and a few simple tools and it's straight forward to set up. Very handy if you are on a water meter as you no longer need to use a hose attached to the mains supply. Connect the hose instead to the tap that comes with this water butt and as long as the water does not have to travel uphill gravity will deliver rainwater to where you need it. Plants thrive much better with rain water than with tap water as any gardener will tell you. A simple mechanical or electrical water pump will enable you to use this system as a normal garden hose. A strong quality product at a very reasonable price.

OK Water Butt ... but ....
Very prompt delivery of water butt. However the rainwater diverter kit supplied with the item did not fit my greenhouse downpipe which is 50mm. Having sawn open the downpipe, I had to stick it back together with duct tape and hunt around on the internet for another fitting. Eventually found a Ward water butt filler from another Amazon supplier which did fit my 50mm downipe. I have taken 1 star off for that, as I do feel that the manufacturer could have supplied a flexible rainwater diverter kit, as there must be others who do not have the standard downpipe size. I have taken another star off because of the bockety nature of the base. It would have been better to have had an all-in-one base and not a linking system of 4 plastic units. I have had to use breezeblocks underneath the water butt to ensure it has a firm standing. Other than that, the water butt is fine!
