Yes, mine came very quickly and was very well packaged. Just tell the recipient not to put it on a sunny windowsill, mine is doing well in a very light room.

Yes it is evergreen. However you will need to keep it as a house or greenhouse plant in a pot because it isn't hardy. It's a slow growing succulent and will shed old leaves occasionally as it branches out and grows new leaves.
