When I first got this phone several years ago I didn't realize how hard it would be to find a case with a built-in screen protector like I had always gotten with the OtterBox Defenders for years before. That company cheapened out and stopped making the screen protectors because of the curved screen so I've never given them business again. There's seriously no point in even buying that overpriced brand anymore.Instead, the Supcase and the Youmaker versions seem to be the best ones with built-in screen protectors. Probably the only two brands I've bothered looking at since 2018 because of the reliability, the color options and some of them have the options of a kickstand. Most of the others are just a piece of rubber you put around the phone and that's it.I went with the Youmaker in 2018 because of the kickstand and although they don't last that long I've stuck with maybe four over the last 5 years. That's really the only reason I've replaced my case for this phone so much is the kickstands are always the weakest point.Looks like they stopped making them for this particular phone so I found this instead which honestly looks to be nearly the same thing. I believe that brand still makes cases for newer phones so that's probably who I would go back to if I had a newer phone. But for this old phone this is essentially the replacement now.The corners do protrude on this a little more than the Youmaker which I actually like. I do like the option of a green color since I got tired of the old colors from the Youmaker brand. The power button feels about the same as the old brand but the volume buttons don't seem to protrude as much which I find a little annoying since it's a little harder to do your volume up and down but I'll get used to it. The kickstand doesn't seem like it's going to be quite as resilient as the Youmaker one but only time will tell. It opens super easy as if it doesn't really lock into place to close and it doesn't make that clicking sound when it's opened up to let you know that it's in place to be used. That's why I don't think it'll last very long. Those generally broke and fell off within a year to two years or even less for other people with the old brands. I've just gotten used to watching so much on my phone that without a kickstand I just don't think I could go back to a regular case anymore without one.But I have to have a built-in screen protector either way and that's why I started going with these brands on Amazon instead of the overpriced OtterBoxes and the other mainstream brands since they refuse to put in a screen protector anymore and still charge four or five times what these cost. Give it a shot since it's not expensive and you might be pleasantly surprised. If you like the old Youmaker version for this particular phone and need a new case and your old phone is still what you're using then this is the one to get. It's as close as you'll get to that Galaxy S9+ Youmaker case. If not this brand, look at the Supcase brand.

First it's a much better case than I had and good value for the money. It's very rugged and I can tell if I dropped the phone the corners would be well protected. The back kick stand function works nicely and I like you can also use the ring to hold the phone in your hand. It has no problem charging through the back of the phone with a surface charger.Now the negatives. The plastic front cover was very dirty and took some effort to clean it before installation. It would be helpful if the seller included alcohol/dry wipes to clean the cover. Most other cover sellers provide this.Also, for some strange reason the cover has plastic tabs covering the charging port and headphone jack. With almost punch out looking rings inside those tabs. I wasn't sure if I was supposed to try and punch those out somehow. But I gave up because it was so difficult and the case was already installed. In the end I just ended up cutting those two tabs off completely.

It's a bit bulkier than my last case but it seems well built. I like the feel of it in my hand and the stand is sturdy once you click it into place

This case is not as good as the overall rating it gets, IMHO.TLDR:Good protection.Nice stand.Plastic screen cover renders phone difficult to see in bright light.Can't attach a magnetic mount, inside our outside case.Phone hole cover flaps cannot be closed completely.It is good protection for the phone. The raised bevel has a little bit extra standoff on the screen side to protect the phone if it lands face down. The sides, corners, and back are well protected. I am confident that it will protect my phone better than its predecessor. It bulks up a phone a bit and squares it off, but I don't mind that. The buttons work well.That comes at a cost. The screen protector is plastic. It seems to be better than average durability, but it is still plastic and will still scratch much easier than a glass cover - this was a known compromise. The unknown part about the screen protector is that it reduces contrast in bright sunlight - so much so that I finally decided I could no longer tolerate it on my phone. Since the screen protector is part of a removable front piece for the screen, I decided to cut out the plastic with an Xacto knife so I could retain the frame without the plastic. This works fine, and now I have the same case with the plastic removed and a glass cover on the phone. This part I am happy with.The stand seems to be well designed. I don't use it as much as some here, so mine has not yet broken, plus I am very careful with it having read the warnings here.The port covers do not work well. They are just rubber flaps attached to the case, with nothing holding them in place when closed. The result is that after a couple of weeks of plugging the phone in to my charger overnight, the power cover flap no longer returns to the correct position when the charging cord is removed. Since the flaps are not waterproof, I expect I will get tired of this too and cut it off.I have always been in the habit of putting a rare earth flat magnet in the back of my case instead of on the phone so that I could remove the case and charge the phone wirelessly if desired, and still use the phone on my magnetic auto mounts. This case is too thick with the bulky stand as designed, so now I cannot use this case when driving. There is no place to mount a magnet on the outside rear of the case unless I wish to disable the folding stand.

I love the durability of this Dexnor case for my Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus phone. I have purchased it again so now my phone looks brand new - even though it is very old. I love this Dexnor case and it has saved my phone from damage more times than I can count (when I dropped it on the concrete floor of my garage, the ceramic tile in my kitchen and yes, even in the toilet). I have trusted my very old phone with this Dexnor product for a very long time and have not been disappointed! And I do love the kickstand on it, too!
