ODERFUN Steak Knives Set of 8

May 14, 2023- We've had these Oderfun fully serrated steak knives for a little over a week and they seem to be holding up just fine. My family is used to cheap steak knives with wooden handles that my wife found at a yard sale which are lightweight and feel cheap, but we're used to them. After breaking a tip off one of the cheapies, I made the choice to "move up" and get a better quality full set of steak knives. After searching high and low on Amazon, eBay, and AliExpress, I chose a set of 4 Oderfun steak knives on Amazon. A few things that were important to me were that the non-shrinkable handle material was attached with several rivets to a full thick metal tang. The handle had to be full size, feel good in the hand in the cutting position and it had to be well crafted in decent Stainless steel. They also had to be fairly lightweight and well-balanced (unlike our forks which ALWAYS fall off the plate onto the ground when cleaning up after dinner). My wife and I both have arthritis in our hands, so these features are very important to us. Unfortunately these knives are not nearly as lightweight as our cheap kitchen knives but they're also not super heavy. Another feature I wanted was a full serration as I think some of the half serration knives out there are somewhat useless. I would probably never use the non-serrated part of the blade so it might as well be a fully serrated blade. These came very sharp and packed nicely in a gift pack. Let's see how they hold up and I will keep you posted.

I ordered these knifes for our RV. My wife and I are big meat eaters and we usually just use disposable cutlery in the RV but I was getting tired of snapping knifes. I really wasn't expecting much from this set at the price point but to my surprise when I opened the box I found some VERY sharp well made knifes inside a nice reusable box which will help keep them sharp in our RV as opposed to them bouncing around in a drawer. Our home knifes are the very expensive Cutco brand and are exceptionally great knifes. These actually feel more ergonomic in the hand and have slightly more weight with a clearly defined tip to help cut meat away from the small pockets of the bone. I can certainly say our RV dining will be more pleasant with Iess broken cutlery.

The set of six serrated Oderfun steak knives is a good buy. They are attractive and well-suited for the dinner table whether you are cutting a hot dog or an expensive filet. My wife thinks they have some weight that she will get used to; I like it. The handle accommodates a natural grip giving you complete control when cutting, which is easily done. The peculiar thing is the balance and center of weight. Since the handle has a thick part that acts as a pivot, neither the blade nor handle length rest on the table—just that very small area on the handle. With minimal force, this pivot results in a natural rocking or swivel action. Because there is so little friction at that point, my first thought was to magnetize the blade to see if it would act as a compass needle. I will adapt to the spin and rock because there are so many fine qualities that compensate for it.

Nice quality

The knives feel well built and sturdy, and feel great for the 24.99$ price. They are sharp and serrated and the serration is correct for a nice table steak knife. They went through the dish washer 3 times so far with no issues.

Happy with this purchase. Three knives are just right for about any kitchen cooking prep task. Good weight and nice control. The blades are sharp and the set is well made.

Great knives and they cut extremely well

Very sharp work excellent. The handles and blades exceptional quality. The second set that I got from Amazon. The first set made by a better known German company with the twins. That was made in a foreign country had inferior blades . They would bend trying to cut an avocado. The plastic handles were poorly constructed handles. I sent those back in order this set much more satisfied with this purchase.
