Good quality sketching pencils
Good quality pencil set. This is exactly as shown in the listing photos.I find this a really useful range of leads, I don't tend to sketch using anything harder than hb.I'd class these as the upper my d range, the very good quality pencils are considerably more expensive, and these do the job for me.They're worth the extra cost because they're not scratchy like many cheap pencils. They're comfortable to hold, and so far sharpen well. Easy to use, and give a clear line.I like that they arrived with a long sharp point.Very happy and would buy again. Thanks for reading, I hope you find this review helpful.

Very good pencils, worth the money I spent on them
Very good pencils. I have used these and found them to be very nice to use.I've compared these to my Derwent graphic set (Medium), and I find these pencils to be better. With eh Derwent ones the lead used to break a lot while sharpening but I never had that issue with these Faber Castell Pencils. These pencils also have sharper edges on the outside so I found them more comfortable to hold and grip. This pencil also weights a little more so they didn't feel almost weightless which is better for me. Through my tests the leads last longer than Derwent too, I don't know why the composition must obviously be different but they do last longer and hold their point a bit better. That's about it really, overall I would recommend these over the Derwent ones I used. That's about it really. Just don't take my review to include colour pencils from the companies as that a different game altogether and I haven't used their coloured pencils, I try to give all brands a fair shot. And although this doesn't matter in terms of performance but the Faber Castell Pnecils look nicer and have a better coating on the pencils themselves. The tin looks nicer too. While this doesn't matter it's a bonus at least since I find the green colour very easy on the eyes and It's one of my favourite colours anyway.

Good quality
It’s a fact of life (and art) that if you want to do a decent drawing you need decent pencils (and decent paper). I’m just an amateur “hobby” artist who draws for pleasure but I’ve been doing it long enough to keep away from poor quality. The best pencils I’ve used are certainly the Blackwing range but their shading values are limited and if you want the full scope of hard and soft pencils you have to look elsewhere. I’ve used Derwent (they’re OK) and Tombow Mono (very good) but I was given this set of Faber-Castell 9000 and I thought I’d try them out for one detailed drawing. They are really good. I wanted a set that didn’t just concentrate on the B grades and this range goes from 5H to 5B which gives plenty of scope for light and dark shading. I found them nice to use, easy to blend and not scratchy (like cheaper options). Sharpening them with a scalpel was easy (no breakages) and I kept them pointed with some sandpaper. They really are nice drawing pencils. Most artists have their favourites (I like Mitsubishi Hi-Uni for the full range) and there will be Faber-Castell fans who wouldn’t draw with anything else. I’d certainly be happy to use these again.I see they’ve gone up in price. When I purchased this set from Amazon in March 2020 they cost £9.99 with free postage through the Prime system. That made them just 83p a pencil which was a bargain but I see the price has rocketed. Nevertheless they’re worth considering as an addition to your drawing tools.

A bit confused.
I’ve used Faber Cattell water-soluble pencils for some time and I absolutely love them. The company also makes pencils with a very slight tint (blue, green and maybe others). These are called “Green” so not unreasonably I thought they were tinted. It turns out they’re normal graphite and Green seems to refer to a type (rather than colour) of pencil. They come in a green tin. On checking I see that my other FB pencils are in a green tin, so I didn’t get what I wanted. However, they’re an excellent pencil and I shall carry on using them, but I’m still looking for a green tint………

Great purchase, I would definitely recommend.
I have bought these drawing pencils out of trust because i use faber castell pencils for almost everything. They came in the post today as i need them for my GCSE art when I go back to school and these will definitely do the job! As said in the description, the pencils are ranged from 5H to 5B and they are very good quality, especially for those who are looking to do some serious art work or even those who just like to casually draw. They also work well with blending and with all paper types, depending on the pressure you put on, the softness of these pencils will glide across your paper without being scratchy.I would definitely recommend this product as the delivery is trust worthy and fast and also the condition is perfectly new, the product itself is great and would suit many tastes.
