An exceptionally good pencil. Sharpens well & provides a good clear line. Recommended.

Je connais de longue date cet excellent produit. Dessinateur, il ne me viendrait pas à l'esprit d'utiliser un autre crayon (ni d'ailleurs une autre gomme). J'ai d'ailleurs une boîte complète de ces crayons graphite (jusqu'au 8 B), mais j'épuise vite les HB ce qui explique mon achat. Comment ne pas recommander l'excellence en ce domaine !

These work really well for marking on green wood. As a green wood carver, very few pens or pencils will reliably mark a machined surface of green wood. Blue ink ball points work most of the time but these always work.

I use them for note taking in the field and for diagrams, map work and math problems I prefer to work through on paper. Perfect if you like medium soft pencils. I prefer these to HBs. Note that it lacks an eraser on the pencil end. I find those to be useless anyway but others may feel different. Glad to see they have not changed in 40 years.

La Lumograph è una delle matite più costose, salvo quelle di lusso da ostensione che probabilmente non verranno mai nemmeno temperate. Verrebbe da chiedersi il perché. La matita è ben fatta, almeno in termini di riproducibilità, ovvero non si notano differenze tra esemplari diversi. Le serigrafie (anche se quelle frontali sono argentate, quelle in cima sono bianco lucido e quelle sul retro sono bianco opaco) sono chiare e ben leggibili. La verniciatura azzurra è invece piuttosto grezza e comunque molto scivolosa all'impugnatura, cosa che appunto fa meritare a questa matita le tre stelle; con questo prezzo (abbondantemente sopra 1 €/pezzo) ci si aspetta un comfort di utilizzo maggiore. Il legno è buono e le due metà dell'esagono sono in genere uniformi per grana e tonalità. Resiste tranquillamente alle temperate più lunghe senza schegge e senza scoprire in maniera asimmetrica la grafite. Per essere una HB la trovo infine un po' troppo dura e rumorosa. Nel complesso una buona matita, ma non si capisce perché debba costare così tanto.
