Q: Greetings. What is the data transfer speed if you transfer about 10 Gigas divided in about 10 files at the END of the transfer (speed decrease) ?

Please ignored all of the other posts, they are wrong.File transfer speeds given by the manufacturer, are the MAXIMUM TRANSFER SPEEDS of that TYPE OF CONNECTION.The maximum usb 2.0 can handle is 60 megabytes a second- that's the connection type. The actual components used by the manufacturer may actually have a maximum of 30 megabytes(standard) but they state the speed of the connection and interface, not their own hardware.Its like a car salesman saying the road is a 140mph road, which makes no difference unless you car can actually drive at that speed, but if it can- it is allowed to.The other thing to consider, is that transfer speeds vary dramatically depending on what "type" of data it is, for example, one huge file will transfer steadily, and at a reasonably high speed. A thousand files that are tiny, but adding up to the same amount, will transfer much much more slowly, as there is more strain on the connection to do the same job.Craig C, is telling you irrelevant information, he is telling you the max speed of the road, where you need to know the speed your car (usb key) will actually drive (transfer) at.If someone is still struggling.a film that is 10gigabytes large might take 1000 secondsbut10 episodes that total 10 gigabytes might take 1500-3000 seconds, as the usb stick finds it harder to cope with a higher number of smaller files.

Q: Write speeds via USB 2.0 socket. Can anyone confirm the average write speed from a USB 2.0 socket.

The write speeds over USB 3 only achieve 5 Mbps, so USB 2 would be even worse, I actually have USB 2 sticks that write faster than this USB 3 stick. I tried numerous times to include this in my feedback but AMAZON would not let me post negative comments. If you buy this stick you will be very disappointed as was I

Q: Can this be encrypted? And is it mac and pc compatible.

Yes to both questions. I am self employed and use IMac at home and Windows based pc for clients, use this USB to transfer files between the two formats no problem. USB is very robust and i just attach it to my key ring

Q: Can I record Tv programmes onto this stick?

It depends on the brand. Some TV's require at least 160 GB or higher in order to format.
