Pink is the Colour!
Struggling to find a curing salt for some time now, so finding this was a great help. We used it on salmon and it worked fine, but I'm sure it's good for other applications too. Recommended.

Potentially dangerous - does not contain sodium nitrite to prevent harmful food borne pathogens.
This product is mislabelled as Curing Salt as it does not contain any sodium nitrate or sodium nitrite which is a vital ingredient in Prague Powder #1 and Prague Powder #2 that are used to safely cure meats and other charcuterie. The pink colour added to these Prague Powders is to safely identify that they contain preservatives to avoid food borne bacterial growth that could cause food poisoning and could even be fatal for those who have compromised immunity. The pink in this product is from added beetroot colouring which will not protect against pathogens. To describe this product as curing salt is grossly misleading and very dangerous.
