Not really needed
I purchased one of these as my original Weber lid didn't have the little hook to catch it on the lip of the drum. Since then slight modifications mean this is no longer useful but if you have the old style, beats putting hot lids on the lawn or waving it whilst trying to grapple with a sausage!

Brilliant. Never liked the small hook on the inside ...
Brilliant. Never liked the small hook on the inside of the Weber lids. Use a pair of pliers on adjustable grips to get a nice tight fit. Love it.

Ill fitting on 22 inch weber
The product, while being exclusively for Weber, does not fit my 22" well, and falls while trying to use it. Can be hazardous, as the lid is quite heavy and very hot at the time.

Works fine
No issues. Fitted straight on to the BBQ with no adjustment and the lid fits fine. Better than sticking the lid on the grass and works as a wind break if needed.
