CND Shellac Nail Polish, Hollywood

That being said, the photo above looks more cherry red than it looks in person. The color is exactly the same as CND Wildfire - but with the addition of very fine orangish shimmer, which gives a slight orange look to the final finish. Of course depending upon the light, the color looks alternately Christmas red or orange red.INTENSITY:This polish is so vivid, only one color coat is necessary. If you do a second coat, the final result is a darker red, which I don't like as well. In fact, I prefer to do a base coat, a coat of white Shellac, then a color coat. When you polish over the white, the red really pops.LONGEVITY:Lasts for as long as you keep it on!CONCLUSION: Recommend.I am a fan of CND Shellac products. I have been using them for about 1 year.

I have started a small collection of gel polishes because it is MUCH more affordable to do this at home than going to a salon. I bought Hollywood for a spicy color when I wasn't in the mood for something understated. I love it. It's a perfect red, not orangy, and it has teeny subtle sparkles. The color itself is not subtle. It's 'Wow, that's the prettiest red polish ever!' My coworkers have loved it and even asked me to do their nails on lunch break (which I have).Besides being a splash of color for my nails, I found that you can also layer it under other color for great effects. You can even layer under different brands. I started out using CND gel polish but also have purchased Gelish brand polishes. It looks especially nice layered with Gelish 'June Bride.'I'm not a nail technician and I feel this is something anyone can do. Go for it!

This is a true red, nice and bright. Unfortunately it seems very thin no matter how many times I shake the bottle so I have to put it on VERY sparingly, which means I need about three full layers of color to get the true effect. All in all it does have the great quality and lasting power of Shellac so I can't complain too much about the initial application.

This is one of the best shimmer lotions out there. I highly recommend this brand. The shimmer is very subtle but attractive, and the scent is not overpowering.Now let me share with you why I buy this shimmer lotion. If you rub the shimmer lotion on bare legs it makes you look like you are wearing very expensive hosiery / pantyhose. This is a fantastic evening look--makes your legs look sleek and sexy plus it hydrates. The scent is subtle so it doesn't compete with your perfume. I buy this brand over and over again.

The color of the polish and the picture are two different things. This color is really red! It looks more pink in the picture. But I have a real problem with shipping and handling ($7) for a bottle of nail polish. There are plenty of businesses on the internet who need who need it. I will find a different source, if I can.

This is an update to my original review shellac gel polish is the worst gel polish I have used next to OPI! Shellac is difficult to dry, properly, it is overly thick and the brush is too small and wimpy to go on properly. If I use shellac on my clients they always complain about ridges of polish in the back of their nail because it is impossible for me to get it thin and smooth. The color is pretty, but that is besides the point if you can't make it look good. It also gets thicker if the temperature in your room goes up so it's best to use when it's below 70° in the room. There is not a thinner available to make this polish better. CND needs to get to work on making better polish. Better brands are IBD, girlish and Kiara sky

it's been either 3 or 4 weeks since i applied this. i'm not the best at applying, so let's just focus on the shiny-ness and non-chipped part of these toenails. went on easily. this is 2 coats of red, with a base coat before and a top coat after; each cured under a UV light for the amount of time as directed on the packaging.

This color is different than what it appears online. It's actually red, not a dark mauve/pink color as the online picture shows. It's a nice color, but it's not what I thought I was ordering.
