For a while now I've been working from home on both my work Windows laptop and my iMac. I have to use both, but it's frustrating to move from the iMac, with a keyboard and a good mouse, to a laptop keyboard and a (frustrating) mousepad. It's obviously not the same, or as good, and that reduces my productivity and increases my frustrations!Enter the UGREEN USB Switch Selector. It's really simple, doesn't take up too much space and works perfectly. It allows me at the touch of a single button, with no delay, to switch my mouse and keyboard from the iMac to my Windows laptop.Transformed how I work at home, but pity it introduces more cables to manage and tidy away.*** Pros ***- Easy to set-up- Comes with good quality USB cables- Has an option for a 5v micro USB charger if you need to power devices through the switch- Small format- Absolutely no delay when switching- Can be used to switch 4 USB devices- Good packaging, which can be recycled- Great value*** Cons ***- USB cables are placed at the front and back of the device, which means cables aren't as neat as they could be- You need to be able to reach the device, so you can't tuck the device away*** Note ***- Can only be used to switch between two devices

A little more expensive than similar switches available elsewhere but it works nicely, is small and (as far as switches go) it looks attractive enough on the desk. The switch itself has a satisfying click to it and feels solid enough to last.Like many I'm sure, this is a purchase to let me switch easier between my main home PC and the work from home laptop I've been using during lockdowns. For that job it's really good, the 4 usb ports providing enough space for the critical shared devices, including the mouse, keyboard and headset. I plugged a small powered USB hub into the 4th slot to give me easy access for any random peripherals, and devices connected to this work just fine.The device is very light (as you'd expect really) so it gets easily lifted off the surface of the desk by any stiff usb cables connected to it. Sticking the device down with a small piece of blu-tack is fine though.

Everything you need to connect it to two PCs is in the recyclable packaging. It's a matter of moments to set it up, it's a nice compact size and I've had no issues with my MS wireless keyboard and mouse since installing it.It has a 5v power connection on the back if you need to power USB devices but a power adapter would need to be purchased separately. There's a four port USB hub on the front which might look a bit messy if several wired USB devices was plugged into it but if they were anywhere else the device would need to be bigger. Overall it's a nice piece of kit which does what it's supposed to do.

Ever since this pandemic started, I'm self-isolating and working from home, therefore my tiny home office became also my job related area. My work-issued laptop is good, but the stuff I have at home is much better - like my monitor, keyboard and mouse - and of course the webcam. I didn't want to buy another set of those, besides, it would have taken too much of the available space.I wanted to be able to use all of my equipment connected to the laptop when working, and back to my PC after hours - but didn't want to reconnect all the wires every time. I was thinking about the full KVM switch, but the HDMI ones are quite expensive; besides - my monitor does fine job switching it's inputs.Then - this thing caught my eye. Does exactly what I wanted it to - with a press of a button all my USB devices can be switched from one computer to the other.What annoys me a little (and why it got 4 stars out of 5) is the fact, that the switching takes a couple of seconds - the computer has to recognise that you connected the devices (it doesn't emulate them being connected all the time).To summarise - does the job and has a reasonable price. I would definitely recommend.

I wanted a USB device that would (hopefully) allow me to share a wireless keyboard and mouse with two computers. I took a gamble with the UGreen USB Switch as I wasn't totally convinced how it would perform that task. I am happy to say that it works seamlessly, in fact far better than I had hoped for. I can now quickly and easily switch between two computers and control them with one keyboard and mouse. Absolutely brilliant. I even like the slim neat design, the little blue LED indicator which tells you which 'side/device/computer' you are using. The small press-button gives a comforting 'click' when pushed. I am in fact so impressed I have ordered a second UGreen USB Switch as a spare, or for another pair of USB devices. A highly recommended and well-made simple gadget that has solved a major problem for me.

Has USB A connectors for cables to PCs and so is shipped with 'illegal' A-A cables. Sometimes a bit tardy at switching ports - sometimes the mouse doesn't work until you press a keyboard key, particularly if the second PC is not switched on. Surprised to see a USB C connector for power but apparently only required if extra hub power is needed - so possibly a good feature. The usual good cosmetic finish I've come to expect from Ugreen.

Great piece of kit. Does exactly what it's supposed to, no fuss. Easy setup.

I use this usb switch to share keyboard and mouse between two laptops. Does the job perfectly.
