This book has lots of information but manages not to be too overwhelming which is great considering the subject. Can't say I've tried much of the recipes but I did feel that I understood more of what I was trying work with and I do use it as a reference quite a bit. Only in the early stages of trying it out though.

Perfect for my body
I lost 2 stone in 10 weeks following the elimination diet and noticed a big decrease in my gastro symptoms. I have now reintroduced some foods successfully without gaining any of the weight back.

If you are new to the concept of IBS etc then it's a good start but otherwise give it a miss.
TL;DR A good basic primer on IBS and gut health but the recipe section lacks depth.Suffering, as it turns out, from IBS I have been searching for all available materials to get me up to speed on the condition and what can be done to mitigate it's effects. I looked at a number of recipe books on gut health but they all seemed to be to be on Kindle and while I love my Kindle Voyage Kindle Voyage E-reader, 6" High-Resolution Display (300 ppi) with Adaptive Built-in Light, PagePress Sensors, Wi-Fi it's not the first choice for reading cookery books. All that said, Danielle Capalinos book jumped out from the printed contenders as the brightest and apparently best.Now, while the book contains a number of recipes, it also contains a lot of material discussing the do's and dont's of eating to avoid the symptoms of IBS. I feel that at 192 pages the book could have devoted less than the 101 pages it did to this discussion, leaving as it did only 91 pages for recipies.The recipes described in the book are pretty plain fare, in most cases you will be able to gain the same if not better recipes from the net. The preceding content about the do's and dont's of IBS eating are also easily garned from the web.In one particular example of a recipe, salad nicoise (page 133) there are clearly potatoes in the picture of the dish while the recipe does not call for potatoes in any shape or form. Suggesting that the recipes have not been cooked and photographed but rather, they have been written and the images pulled from stock image sites. Not a deal breaker but just a suggestion of lack of care over the composition of the book.All in all, the book is a good primer, but if you have done any research then the first section will tell you little and the recipe section will leave you wanting more. But not in a good way

Easy read
I liked the writers style. Lots of helpful information but easy to understand. There are recipes but it is much more than a cookbook. Author explains the science behind Fodmap. There are helpful charts as well. Among the vast choices of books on Fodmap I’m glad I selected this one.

Great Book
Wow!! I got the electronic version of this book because I needed something fast. I have such stomach issues that I read it and started it that night. I'm a week in the elimination diet and I track my stomach. It's an amazing resource and there are lots of examples and foods you can eat. When my 21 days are done, I go through high fodmaps to see what triggers me. Very easy to read and use. I enjoyed it and would recommend to anyone!!!

Comprato per capire meglio come alleviare i fastidiosi sintomi della mia colite. Il libro è abbastanza interessante ed esaustivo ma a un livello di spiegazione generica. Avrei preferito la sezione del piano alimentare più dettagliata e con più ricette. Diciamo che la dottoressa rimane un po' in superficie ma a quanto pare è uno dei libri migliori essendo l argomento poco trattato....

Easy to read, simple effective explanations
Starting the Fodmap diet can be daunting. This text does a nice job of explaining what the diet is and why it works. Very simple and a good resource if you are just looking into the diet.
