An outstanding product that delivers excellent results
Before I start this review, I have assigned this product 5 starts for what Amazon references as Sheerness. I have interpreted 'Sheerness' as the ability of the product to do what it claims. My reference for this is the Concise Oxford English Dictionary, 11th Edition. This product was purchased to undertake a repair to the headlights on my wife's vehicle that were starting to show early signs of 'lens bloom', external clouding on the top of the perspex main lights. I selected Auto Glym based on product reputation and 40+years of using Auto Glym products on all of our vehicles. I felt that £30.00 was an acceptable risk before purchasing 2 x new lights if this did not work. I need have had no such fears. Clear simple instructions, a supporting Auto Glym video, watched 2-3 times prior to undertaking the task were excellent training tools and gave me confidence to effectively destroy the surface of each headlight. I was able to easily remove the lights on our Volvo XC-60 and was able to perform this repairs off the vehicle. This helped me considerably and I felt gave me a better quality finish. It took me around 30-40 minutes per headlight working on a bench next to the car and providing you follow the instructions to the letter in terms of drill speed, use of water and the various grades of discs the end results were outstanding and much better than I anticipated. Overall a very professional crystal clear finish was obtained on each headlight. The headlights have been on the vehicle around 4 weeks and no signs of any bloom returning. Following the task I found I was able to recover the very fine grit discs and have reused them undertaking a headlight repair on a Mercedes due to a stone chip. I was able to remove the scratch completely that was in the middle of the headlight lens. It took around 20 minutes to complete while the headlight was left on the car. I don't have any before photos but in the attached images, on the white car the bloom extended from the top of the headlight lens over its complete length and down to 20% of the lens surface. On the grey car the chip and scratch damage was in the centre of the lens. As you can see, more than 4 weeks on the finish on both sets of lights has been exceptional. A great saving over a set of replacement lights. What a great product that even the least able DIYer will be able to obtain first class results. I have been looking for replacement fine grit discs but have managed to clean, wash and reuse the original sets of discs. The instructions from Auto Glym and clear simple and work but I recommend you also look at the video if you have never done this previously. Very highly recommended, an excellent product.

Impressive Results from a Sceptic – Autoglym Headlight Restoration Kit
I have a 20-year-old Mazda with headlights that had seen better days, scratched, chipped, yellowed, and cloudy. Honestly, I was pretty sceptical about whether a restoration kit could make a real difference. But what a pleasant surprise! The Autoglym Headlight Restoration Kit did a fantastic job. The headlights now look almost like new, clear and fresh, which really lifts the whole appearance of the car and increases safety at dark. A quick tip for anyone using this kit: if you're using a battery-powered drill, make sure the battery is fully charged and strong. Even better, use a corded electric drill for consistent power. Be mindful of the drill speed, especially during polishing. If you go too fast, you'll end up with white polishing compound splattered everywhere. Ideally, your drill should have adjustable speed control. All in all, I'm very pleased with the results. The difference is night and day. Check out the photos, they really do say more than a thousand words. Highly recommended for anyone looking to bring their old headlights back to life!

Good, simple to use kit.
Good, easy product to use. Just wish it came with more of the lowest grade sandpaper for the first blasting. They just clogged up almost instantly, not sure if it was a product on the car or what. But overall the headlights do look much better. Cheaper than a full new headlight so worth a shot before you buy them if they’re needed.

Very Impressed!
Worth every penny! Takes some time, but the results really are worth it. I've used other non-drill based products in the past and they didn't work as well, so decided to go for this and it's like I have a new set of lights. If you have the ability to remove the lights from the car, I would recommend this as it saves a lot of time taping and you can get right to the edges without worrying about paintwork.

Excellent headlight restoration.
My advice is follow the instructions and you will get a stunning result. My lights had very significant hazing and yellowing but now look brand new. Much better than I expected, AutoGlym has always been a favourite of mine and this product further cements that opinion. Highly recommended.

Pad falls apart half way through the job.
Worked really well until the drill attachment/pad thingy disintegrated. Just as well I had a spare from another product I had used last year.

Brilliant product - use with complete confidence !!
Not the cheapest out there, but I've used Autoglym products before and found them to be of excellent quality and this did influence my decision to buy. The headlights on my late 2008 Honda FRV were becoming increasingly clouded and had been commented upon as "advisorys", on the last couple of MOTs, therefore action needed to be taken before the vehicle was failed. Taking what amounts to a sanding disc to the headlight lenses, I did so with a good deal of trepidation. However before purchasing and having read some of the reviews, I took heart from the other comments that had been left. I would echo these wholeheartedly - have the courage of your convictions, read the instructions and familiarise yourself with the contents of the box, BEFORE you start using the product, then follow the instructions TO THE LETTER. I did so and could not be any happier - the headlights have come up like new, seriously !!. I can't rate the product highly enough and should my headlights begin to fade again, I have the confidence to repeat the process, as there are sufficient abrasive pads to do so. A couple of tips which might be helpful - a) when attaching the pads to the drill bit backing plate, centralise them as much as possible, b) when removing the pads from the backing plate, do so with care so as not to rip off the velcro layer from the backing plate and c) as part of the process involves using water, you will inevitably get some small amount of splashes / splatting on the bodywork. This is easily removed but should you want to avoid it altogether, I'd recommend draping clean sheets over the adjacent bodywork. Probably one of the best £26.49's that I've ever spent !!!!!!
