Aveeno Therapeutic Shave Gel with Oat and Vitamin E to Help Prevent Razor Bumps

I don't have a lot of experience shaving with other shave gels/creams; in fact I don't think I have any. I didn't shave at all for the first 50+ years of my life, preferring instead to let my hair grow to one length or another and buzz my face close with a Wahl electric trimmer, which spared my skin considerable irritation and, I felt, looked better (I never liked the way I looked with my face shaved clean).Nowadays my priorities, and thus my practices, have changed, and I generally keep both head and face shaved clean. For this I rely primarily on a manual razor and an excellent shave gel. I read many (many!) customer reviews of many shave creams and gels here on Amazon and they led me to settle on this stuff, and I haven't wanted or needed to look back. Using this, I can shave daily if I want to without an excess of irritation, and the scent, such as it is, is unobtrusive to say the least (there's hardly any scent at all).The only caveat I'd issue about this stuff is that each of the two cans I've used so far has shot the gel pretty much straight upward - at something very close to a 90-degree angle to the nozzle - the first time (and only the first time) I've pressed the button. Such that the gel has missed my cupped hand entirely and hit the shower wall. Crazy. But once it's sown its wild oats (no pun intended :) on that first press of the button, each can has immediately settled down and fired the rest of the gel straight out of the nozzle as one would expect. And the stuff is very smooth and pleasant to use, soothing to the skin, and facilitates a very close and clean shave.I recommend the stuff wholeheartedly. Enjoy!

For decades I had been using a men's gel shave cream. ( I'm male, btw). One day my shave gel can ran out so I used this product that my wife uses for shaving her legs.It worked great. I got a close shave, without irritation and it left my skin feeling smooth and moisturized. To my surprise tgis product is half the price of my former brand of shaving gel.I love this stuff and I wish I tried it years ago.

Excellent shave gel that lathers fully and gives a nice smooth shave. Unscented, which is fantastic. A tiny dab goes a long, long way, so it is cost effective. This is now my go-to shave cream.

Edge changed their formula and can. The new stuff is watery and the dispenser waists too much product when trying to use. Original Edge formula was better, and the can was easier to get the dab you needed to lather the face.So, after 10 plus years of using Edge and becoming disappointed with the current formula, I gave this brand a try. Aveeno makes a good body lotion that I have been using for years.For my use, the can dispenser allowed me to get the dab I needed to lather my face with no waist. Once the gel turned to foam, it was not runny and stayed on my face through-out the whole shaving process. There was a slight scent from the product, but after removing the product from my face, no scent lingered.The lather provided a smooth close shave without hardly any razor burn the both times I used it. I like the thicker lather from this product over the original Edge Extra Moisturizing. Aveeno shaving gel is a very good replacement. Lastly, the can is taller than my older Edge cans but still fits inside my toiletry bag.

Okay, I’ve gotta say, Aveeno’s Therapeutic Shave Cream has been a total win for my nephew. He’s got super sensitive skin and always ended up with razor bumps and redness after shaving. I grabbed this for him just to see if it would help, and now he really likes it.It’s really gentle but still gives him a smooth shave, and his skin looks way better, no irritation at all. He even mentioned how much more comfortable shaving feels now. Honestly, if you’ve got sensitive skin or deal with shaving issues, this stuff is worth trying.

Great product I switched to this once and haven’t gone back to anything else. Really good for sensitive skin always have on hand. This product actually made me go and buy other Avino face moisturizing products and deep cleansing products and I am experimenting with other ones as well. Great company.

I’m a big fan of this stuff, but not because it has helped me with my leg bumps. I think I’ll invest into something else for that. It’s just the smell is almost like a fruity oatmeal and it just draws you in and feels soft. W shave cream for sure.

Good product, lasts a longtime. Basically fragrance free, which I appreciate.
