Fairly moisturizing, but totally sheer
I'm trying to switch to all eco-and-body-friendly, green products, including my beauty products, so I decided to try Burt's Bees Tinted Lip Balm. It's a lightweight, fairly moisturizing lip balm that doesn't dry my lips out, but it doesn't really heal chapped lips either. The color is also far too sheer on my naturally nudish-pink lips to be an acceptable substitute for my chemical-ladden lip glosses and lipsticks. Given how pricey this product and how it fails to color my lips at all, Burt's Bees Tinted Lip Balm is a pass for me.Update: 3.19.13:Adding two stars. Once I used the lip balm several times, the color seemed to get deeper. I think maybe the balm had melted and reformed at one point, with the top of stick not having as much color as the rest. I still love its texture. The hibiscus shade is more of a ruddy pink-brown than I usually like, but it looks good when applied sparingly. I want to try the light pink next.

First of all, the price here on amazon (~$9) for two of these is a steal. At local drugstores, I've only find this available for about $7-8 each, so I'm certain that this is the only place I'm going to buy this going forward! I love the subtle yet quite significant effect this color has on my overall appearance. The difference is amazing. Prior to putting this on, I might look sleep-deprived and pale, but once it's on, I'm glowing! I look much more awake. I hate leaving the house without this on for that reason. I love that it gives my face that boost without the excessiveness of lipstick. I tend to go a little heavy on the eye makeup, so it's nice to take it easy on the lips to soften my overall appearance. I always wear this during the day, but also sometimes when I go out for clubbing or parties at night, too. I also love that it's light but moisturizing enough. A lot of color options are either too light and not moisturizing (tints), not moisturizing (some lipsticks), or just too heavy. I don't like not being able to kiss my boyfriend if I'm wearing lip gloss (too sticky) or lipstick (too messy). This is light and subtle enough for that to not be an issue. Also, since I spend a lot of time outside, it's nice to hot have to deal with sticky lip gloss or messy lipstick getting on my hair and then on my face from the wind when I'm wearing this.

Smells great, lovely subtle color, good price!
I had not used this brand before, but I am almost down to my last 1/8" of Bonne Bell LipLix in a grape color/flavor. I loved that stuff but alas, not made any longer in the color I love. So, searching here, I found various tints in the Burt's Bees tinted lip balm, in what looked like a similar color in their stick form. I have to say the color isn't as intense as my LipLix because it's lighter and more subtle. That's okay, I'm quite fair, but you might not be Celtic-vampire-pale like I am. My preferences are cool colors, nothing with any hint of tan, brown, gold, etc. So this seemed like the best thing for me. I think if you try it you might like it, and you can probably layer it to make the color a little darker if you wish. Keep in mind -- it has a fruity fragrance, no SPF, and you'll need to keep applying it throughout the day if you want to keep your lips colorful. But that's the price to pay for something that's very pretty. What we ladies go through!

Pretty color!
I love 'hibiscus', is a peachy deep color very flattering on the lips, but subtle enough for daily use. About the formulation, I cant really say that is the most moisturizing lip balm that I have tried, but it does gives you soft lips. My only complaint is that it doesnt feel totally light while you are wearing it, and it can be a little heavy if you dont warm the wax enough (going over the lips a couple of times). It comes in a pretty and sturdy box, which I like, but the packaging of the product feels a little cheap, I thought it was going to be thicker.Would I buy tis again? Yeah, I think I would, considering that I really like the shade and its all natural.

Very pretty, buttery soft but extremely light color
I like Burt's Bees products. My perennial favorite is their lip balm, original. I also love all their shimmer lipsticks, they are amazing, the color is gorgeous and they look amazing. This tinted lip balm is very pretty, but extremely light on skin. I wear Burt's Bees Lip Shimmer - Guava (Shade Color) 1 Each and their champagne colors. Guava is my favorite. This pink lip tint is not shimmery, it's very flat, with no sparkle. It's also very light, I have to slather it on to see any color.I may try a darker shade or probably will continue using guava shimmer instead. Burt's Bees Lip Shimmer - Guava (Shade Color) 1 Each
