Great expose into an effective self defence system. Good illustrations.

It is a good book and I like it. I did not give it 5 stars because the descriptions are really good but sometimes a little bit of extra detail would be better. Having said that I love this book and recommend it.

There are a ton of good tips but not for the squeamish.

Good book if your going for instructor training and want to break down techniques for delivery or refresh your own for tracings and training

Just received the book and look forward to putting the knowledge into practice . I’ve a padded wing chun wooden dummy for full on punching / grabbing etc but the high stress combat situations cannot be duplicated and only experience can teach & train you . I’ve Been in many combat stressful situations but lacked the knowledge to defend effectively and this will ballence things out . Will sit well next to Tao of Jeet Kune Do .

The book is a good syllabus for those who do Krav maga, it has everything you need for yellow, orange, green, blue, brown belt and some bonus black techniques. The techniques are described in detail and the photos are clear (black and white photos). So far it has been very helpful...

Darren Levine copyrighted Krav Maga for the USA back in 80's. This book is the US version of Krav which adds karate style moves to its 'higher levels'. As such the sysllabus follows the KM WorldWide Association format (ie US) not the Israeli 'civilianised'programme. And: For practical skills no book can replace a qualified instructor! Having said that this book does document the basics in an easy to read fashion with good pictures, all nicely laid out. It is good for revision--but thats it! If you want to learn Krav join a school whose Chief Instructor has qualified in Israel.

The book is as described. Informative, techniques clearly explained, and pictures are clear.

Great book, lots of useful info for beginners. However, you need to take classes and practice more to get better.

Una vista muy amplia de Krav Maga. Se incluyen explicaciones excelentes y fotos claras de todas las técnicas (las más amplias aclararan bien como ejecutar los bloqueos de mano, específicamente las posiciones de las manos). Un aviso: este es un manual para artistas de artes marciales de alto nivel. Los novatos también usarlo, pero los aspectos descritos hace falta un buen conocimiento de otros estilos de combate, en este caso, boxeo, Judo, taekwondo, boxeo tailandes y un poco de Jujitsu y lucha libre. Para mi es muy adecuado, ya que he entrenado en Karate, boxeo, boxeo tailandes y he presenciando las técnicas de Judo y Jujistsu en muchas películas y series de televisión. Lo recomendaría a las personas con mi experiencia y recomendaría el otro libro de Krav Maga a los con menos primero. Esto sería el próximo paso más lógico.

L'un des rares livre complet sur le Krav-maga. Le programme n'est pas tout à fait le même qu'en France. En anglais , donc il faut être à l'aise avec la langue de Shakespeare :-)
