Bought this but always thought there was something not right about the sent as have been using Shalimar for year. Finally compared to one from a Guerlain shop which made clear this was a copy.

This IS real.yes,the box was damaged inside,but the juice inside is the real deal.Shalimar is meant to open smelling of shoe repair shops and antique furniture wax.it is the dry down where the trip starts.....i got black real vanilla pod,havana cigar smoke,fresh suede,saddle soap,civit,amber,musk,tonker bean and ,creme brulee.i was driven to panic by reviews saying it wasn't real,but the trip of the perfume can only be described as very french,and very expensive.it is not weak either,because i still smell of wonderful burnt vanilla pod over morning coffee the next day and it has come off on my bedding and smells delicious.......when i wear it out,i have strangely turned heads and made strangers look up in awe of the trail it leaves ! And that is outside ! Thank you very much
