Has anyone got a toffee hammer?
I think that this has been left out somewhere warm. No worries it’s in the freezer and I’ll take a hammer to it later. The bits I could get at tasted great.

Good ole Thornton's
I was stunned to find we no longer had a Thornton's shop in our local town (when did that disappear?) so resorted to buying toffee online. Toffee was great as expected, however as you get to the bottom of the box you are left with the pieces large enough to sink the Titanic. Get your chainsaw out to sort the problem, or maybe Thornton's could just bash it all into smaller pieces in the first place.

Favourite toffee
I was trying to get this as a present and couldn't find it anywhere. Good old Amazon came to the rescue. I don't think I'll be buying this again for a long time. Very expensive for a box of toffee.

I was lucky enough to get Thornton's Assorted Toffee as a gift from a someone in England several years ago. I remember when it really was an assorted variety of toffees. There no longer seems to be a real assortment. They seem to have stopped putting the full assortment in the box. Most of it was regular toffee, some treacle and very few small pieces that had brazil nuts. Perhaps Thornton's has changed ownership or is now cutting back. While the plain toffee tasted good, I paid a good amount of money as I live in the USA. I used to order every Christmas, but I guess I won't be purchasing this anymore. Perhaps I will try to make some home-made, myself, in the future.

Deliciosos caramelos con sabor a leche, chocolate y nueces del Brasil, con el calor se unen todos, pues vienen sueltos en la caja, pero mejor.. Porque si no te los comes todos de una vez

Can't wait until it arrives, I loved the toffee 40 yrs ago.---------OK, let me tell you about it's journey. I thought it would come from either Belper, Derbyshire in the UK! Well when it came it came from the SHETLANDS, a small island off Scotland. When it came it was in a ball and I had to use a knife to cut bits off and there was a nibbled bit off the box. It was fully wrapped with cellophane. So I kept it and hoped that there had been no mouse nibbling. I went to school with Penny Thornton who's Father owned Thornton's and gave many candies for our school bazaar, they went really quickly

I used to get this brought over by a cousin in Scotland to the US but now he’s older and doesn’t make the trip over so to my surprise I found it here and couldn’t resist buying it it is a fantastic buttery soft toffee that is delicious I will buy it as long as it’s available on Amazon

I was very disappointed in the toffee. I have had Thortons before a few years ago and it tasted completely different . This tastes like a " knock off" or a less quality candy. We will eat it but not share it with friends. So disappointed because it was expensive.
