Updated 2 : Superiod product and i've just lost it....absolutely gutted.
Updating after i guess almost a year or so.-------------------------------------------------Ok, i've just lost this headset(fallen out of pocket and im absolutely gutted. Reverted back to my old cheap headset and the recipient could hear everything else going on in the background apart from me.Only annoying thing is that its gone up in price since covid, but the call quality is so good using it im struggling to cope without it. Yes yes...you STILL look like a bit of a bell when using it but when you need to speak to someone and you want to be heard this is still an great choice.Updating a few days later...---------------------------------Upgrading to a 5 from 4. This is the bee's knee's.So long as it survives long term and provided you can withstand the fact that you do look a bit daft wearing these things - get over it - this is worth the money or rather relative to the cheaper products you can definitely tell that this is a far far superior product. I was just walking through the barbican in london - bit of a wind tunnel and it was howling - alongside a lorry which echoes in that place and i couldnt believe that the person on the other end could hear me and apparently very little else. This has serious noise cancelling, something i have always thought before was just a joke because all cheaper products say they have it. They definitely don't and none of the products i have had before which range from £10-24 have had it either, no way. If like me you are often walking and talking and if its important for the other person to hear you then this is great provided it fits you comfortably i guess. I dont know what the cheaper plantronics ones are like, presumably a lot better than all the cheaper ones and maybe not quite as good as this one.++++++++So this is my 4th and most expensive headset. The others were cheaper and as follows and in order:- Mpow Bluetooth Earbud Wireless, V4.2 [Touch Control] Mini Bluetooth Headset with Mic, Driving Handsfree Calling Earpiece, Invisible In-ear Earphone for Cellphones[2 Magnetic Chargers]- Mpow Bluetooth Headset [Business Style] Wireless Headset Bluetooth Earpiece Hands-free Calling with Clear Voice Capture Technology Bluetooth Earbuds for Cellphones (Sliver, 280 Hours Standby Time)- Bluetooth Headset[Upgraded V5.0], Handsfree Wireless Earpiece with Mic for Business/Driving(240 Hours Standby,9 Hours Working Time)So the first was a mini bud that went inside one ear and cost £10, the second one curved behind the ear and the last one over the ear with a talking stem, bit like the plantronics and cheaper.I use my phone a lot, in a noisy office and walking outside, on the train etc. All the time.I think i reviewed all the other ones and generally i gave them fairly to very positive reviews, particularly the last one which in fairness, for the money is very good albeit slightly uncomfortable. But thats the problem with the reviews. Everyone is giving the thumbs up to a sub-£20 and they all end up looking like their awesome based on the star rating. This headset is miles ahead on quality, comfort and to some extent sound quality. When you open it, immediately you can see the quality and personally - though i appreciate this may vary from head to head - i found it far more comfortable than the last over the ear headset i still have. Its lighter, more ergonomic and as a result easier to put over the ear. The last one was a bit big and cumbersome so i would often struggle.Functionality is way better and you can tell the quality as soon as you press the buttons and it turns on. The phone will tell you whose calling very clearly and you can simply say 'answer' or ignore or press the buttons if you prefer to answer etc. It feels way more solidly constructed than the cheaper one and thankfully has an on-off switch rather than a push button system which is rubbish by comparison. The sound quality in ear is great but most importantly its what the other person can hear. I was surprised when i stood right next and leaning in to 'alexa' playing music on volume 6, which is pretty loud on the larger speaker, and could be heard perfectly at the other end without them really hearing the music much. The real test will come today when im walking in london alongside the street noise but im optimistic. If that passes this based on initial useage will go up to 5 stars. The software(mobile app) that comes with this aswell is also good and is kind of in line with the general quality of the product. Finally the look. Have to admit the last one, being an so looking cheap, did make me feel slightly self concsious. This one still has the image issue of course but lookwise it has a far more slight appearance and really doesnt look too bad.I know this is like 3-4 times more than the others and if you're in a lorry or cab i can see why my 2nd or particularly 3rd last headset would be sufficient. But if are prepared to fork out for something that takes a step up in level then then this seems to be right up there. But its early days.So i'll update this review after today or tomorrow and see if it can grab one more star.

e-waste - bad microphone experience for people on the other side
complete e-waste, 2000's tech feel; low quality microphone capture; poor UI.

it's good but i think bluetooth might be letting it down
First thing: there is a no box/pouch! but you can buy the earpiece with a box. The box is sold separately but i'm not sure i'm going to buy it yet. i didnt realise until it turned up as there was no carrying pouch or anything to keep the earpiece safe, so that was a bit annoying.First day with it yesterday, i had lots of meetings all day with half-hour in between, so i didn't want to take it off. I found that it because a bit uncomfortable after a while. it's ok for an hour, but not for all day leave in. Hard to get right, everyone has different shaped ears.About midday i changed the size of the ear bud from the medium to the large, then back again when i realised it wasn't making any difference and actually hurt after a while as it was pressing on the inside of my ear. Medium is the right size, nevertheless there is still pressure on the outside of my ear which is not noticeable for a while (it's been in for an 1hr 15mins today and it's ok so far). When i'm connected to video conferencing on my laptop and an event happens (email notification, text message, meeting notification etc) that causes a sound notification, it causes the sound from the meeting to go a bit garbled, though you can still hear what's being said.Battery is a bit weird. it states 7hrs of talk time, which the plantronics hub software confirmed. However i didnt have it on for 7hrs from the time i charged it to max, and the device was switched off before i went home last night. Came in this morning and it was down to 1hr left. The sound is good and the range is good. i like the alexa function as well. I also like that i dont need to manually change the device, i.e. it connects to both the phone and the laptop simultaneously. if you're watching youtube and the phone rings you can take the call with no messing around. It's good, but not 5 stars good.

Perfect for what it does
Ok, so youve got the ear buds, the over ear earphones and the in ear ANCs so why do you need this??? The answer is that each thing does what it was primarily designed to do REALLY well and all the supplementary things not as well or badly. As I spend a lot lot pf time working in my study this is my go to thing for calls where I will be put on hold or need my hands for typing or writing notes and it just works really really well. Also if Im getting in my steps each day on a long walk and so people can hear me and not the traffic ( you can see there there is a multi tasking trend going on here :-) ).Calls to and from me are always clear and it is a comfortable fit for long time use.You are going to be upset that at this price that it doesn't have a base unit to charge (there is one that it sits upright in) or the charging case and if so head over to ebay to get one used.Oh and don't be thinking that you can spend half price with a Chinese brand you have never heard of. I tried that and it didnt work. This will give you years of loyal service so if you need it and can justify the cost over using your air pods pro go for it. You will not be disappointed.
