Snugg iPod Classic Case, Black Leather Flip Case [Card Slots] Executive Apple iPod Classic Wallet Case Cover and Stand Legacy Series

I have a recently acquired a modded ipod Classic which is a bit thicker (14mm) than the standard size and was having trouble getting a suitable quality case to fit. I took a chance on this one and wasn't disappointed. It fits like a glove. It is advertised as being leather and although it looks like leather the manufacturer's website says it's actually PU leather. That said, it does appear to be a quality item which is well made and certainly looks the part. Yes I would recommend it especially if you have a thicker ipod Classic like mine, but if your Classic is any thicker than 14mm as some modded ones are, then it won't fit.

Perfect for the iPod classic

Bought to replace the original fabric slip case, lost down the side of an airplane seat. It's a good-enough but not perfect fit for a 30 GB 5th gen iPod (A1238, slimmer version). There is a velcro strap which holds the iPod within the case. There's a mm or two of play, so the iPod does slide around a little bit, and the cut-out for the click wheel is little bit too big. Seems well-made. Obviously much bulkier than the original case. Still, I'm quite impressed that cases are still available at all for a nearly 20-year-old bit of kit.

I’ve been looking for a new case for my faithful old iPod Classic (black) 30Gb for quite a while now. My iPod’s current case is a i-nique (now Tuff-Luv) Napa leather case that’s now seen better days, but it’s lasted since 2008 so I can’t complain at all. I tried a new Tuff-Luv case in 2012, but it was too small & a silicone skin (earlier this year), but this was annoying & became baggy within a few days of use. I took a chance that the PU (polyurethane synthetic) leather Snugg case listed here would fit & it does! (see image) Specifically, it fits my iPod Classic Black 30Gb (model no. A1136) perfectly – a good fit without being too snug that you can’t take out the iPod to pop it into the charging cradle. With the case on the iPod is secured by a Velcro-secured flap that tucks behind the iPod; all ports & controls are easily accessible. The case appears to be well-made, with neat contrasting stitching around the edges; the front cover is embossed with ‘Snugg’ (see image). The magnetic closure is quite adequate – it doesn’t flap open if the iPod is held ‘front flap/cover downwards’ (if that makes sense!). Inside the front cover are two credit card type slots & behind these is slot for other slightly larger cards, etc. The PU ‘leather’ does have a slightly synthetic smell about it, but it’s not unpleasant & I guess it’ll wear off: you have to really get up close & personal to smell it. All told I am delighted with this case & glad I took another chance on getting my old iPod a new case – I’m sure the case will outlast the iPod :-D

This case fits the classic perfectly, and all of the holes align so that the jack and charging ports are clear and easily accessed. The fold over cover stays closed with a magnet. The iPod itself is held in with a tab that Velcro's down behind it on the inner (spine) side, so there is no chance of it falling out. That was the only fiddly bit - spotting that the tab was there - but you just pull it away from the back of the case, slip the iPod in then push the tab back in and press so the Velcro catches and it's done. The iPod is used every day so hopefully the quality of the case will ensure it lasts well. All the stitching etc. was perfect and it feels sturdy and of a good quality. The extra details of the card slots are great if you are out and about and need to keep any tickets or cash kept safely at hand, rather than having to rummage in a pocket or bag. It is well made and the person I bought it for as a gift is very pleased with it.

Nicely made. Looks good. Snugly fits the ipod classic for those of us who cannot let go of that design classic. Saves the ipod from scratches that are inevitable if you carry your ipod around in pockets or in bags. It has space for credit cards but I haven't used it for that purpose. Easy access to the charging port and headphones input and on/lock switch. Gaps in the leather for the screen and the rotary dial. You can put your ipod in the case and not take it out again. Nice!

Best feeling case I've ever used on any previous hand held device. Suede feel on the inner thats feels so soft when using and looks slick No drama magnet flip close and the flip never gets in the way when case is open Nice and slim, card storage, good protection, good fit, comfortable and easy to scroll through my songs Perfect all round!

Really nice leather cover for iPod classic. I didn’t want one with a belt clip and this one is perfect.

Not exactly what I was looking for but does the job. I don't plan on using the cardholders or anything but I appreciate that it holds my iPod securely and protects the screen from any drop damage. It feels high quality and fits my iPod perfectly.
