I have an older external SATA drive enclosure which has the Micro B to old USB cable, but my new laptop has the USB-C ports which are much faster. I put this cable on the older enclosure and presto - it works great.

Perfect addition to my toolbox to increase the distance I need to be from the port, very important for those who don't want to kneel, bend over, or stand on a ladder. this allows me to stand comfortably with my device or sit in a chair. Functionally fast and exactly as needed for my application, enough throughput to run a virtual OS from an external space.
