I appreciated that cats were treated like divine beings; I loved the stories about the creation myths, and that time was closely tied to nature. This was very informative. I love finding new information about the different entities beyond the Gods and Goddesses. Different creatures that all had a purpose. Everything seemed to fit in the cycle of Life and Death. Thank you.

There's a ton of information in here and the book is well-written and thorough. It reads more like a reference book than anything else - not that there's anything wrong with that, but I'd say this is more for people who want to bone up on their knowledge rather than those of us who are looking for a mixture of entertainment along with their facts.

One of the most complex and profound civilizations in human history was also one of the most mysterious. Let the author shed a light on Egypt to expose the forgotten secrets. A cool book just for the factoids and trivia. Brush up on your Egyptian!

This is a good book to keep and go back to from time to time.

Very satisfying. Always been intrigued by Egyptian history and this book without fail delivers a great primer into all the history, back stories, politics, mythology and so much more. Very thorough and yet completely accessible to this novice. Recommend for those interested in all history and especially Egyptian lore.
