This is one of the best grinders I've owned. It is extremely quiet and very powerful. Grinding and sharpening are very precise.

This thing is nice and heavy to the point where you don't have to secure it down for most projects you can just set it right on top of your workbench. It has a very slow start to get up to running RPM, which is nice but also just a warning it does take a little while. Other than that this is a very nice unit for the price it gets the job done and the work light is a nice touch. do go on skils website and register all of your skil tools they have a pretty good 3-year warranty from what it sounds like they will fix or replace your tools free of charge.

Good quality for the most part. The lens material is weak. Mine came with a hairline crack (like a pressure crack) this is a problem with a potential defective safety feature over time. Performance or durability is good. I had my son grind down a few things to try out. Did well and the hairline didn't spread as I had used window seal glue. Works well, and feels substantial and durable for the long haul.

Excellent 8-inch bench grinder takes a little bit to get up to speed but when it does nothing will stop it.

Purchased this for my husband he was looking for something to sharpen his tools with so far he has no complaints he really likes it
