Awesome kit! Only took me 5 minutes to get out 4 locking lugs. Highly recommend this kit, helpful with the extra long metal piece to hammer out the lug from the socket. Strong and durable sockets.

Will do the job if your lugs are rounded off or oversize from being beaten by the guys using impact guns on them.

Just what I needed

I used one of these sockets to remove the McGard locking lug nuts from my car when I discovered the key nut for the locks was missing from my car. I placed the socket onto the lug nut, gave it three or four hits with a three pound hammer. Then I used a 1/2 inch drive breaker bar to turn the socket counter clockwise. The locking nuts came off easily. I replaced the lock nuts with new regular nuts for the car. Now if I have a flat tire while driving, I will be able to change the tire without a problem. I will throw away the locking lug nuts. These were on the car when I bought it 10 years ago, and am fortunate to not have been stuck on the side of the road without a means to change the tire. I think the lock nut was lost when I had the front brake pads replaced a few years ago. I discovered the lock was missing when I looked for it prior to taking the car in to get the tires replaced. This was a cost effective way to fix the problem.
