Brilliant value for money
Brilliant value for money. Smelled a bit strongly of canvas bag so we popped it in the washing machine and it came out fine and didn’t take too long to dry. It’s big and strong and just what we needed for lugging heavy stuff around in. It does up at the top in an unusual way but that ok. Only small issue I have is with the quality of the clip - will it last - only time will tell.

Back to basics
Needed something heavy duty to transport an inflatable paddle board (along with the paddle and pump); this does the job pretty well. Delivered by standard post, took 2 days to arrive; just large enough to do what I wanted; seems sturdy - certainly better than alot of the light weight holdalls you can buy. Doesn't have a method of doing it up - for this it's back to basics and you will need a small length of thin chord and tie 'lots of knots' if you don't have a method or just look it up on the internet. As the overall weight is heavy and I'm using it for air travel, I looped the main outside strap onto my tie off chord through the top loops as I reckon that it may not stand up the rough handling. There you go

Kit bag review
A very strong well made kit bag that is just right to hold a sleeping bag and all you need for a long weekend, I think I will soak it before use to run the colour out so it doesn't stain the contents and yes the strap could be a little longer but its very traditionaloh and I like the smell, at this price its brilliant.

Good bag let down by crippling design flaw.
Unlike other reviewers, I had a really bad experience with this bag. I saw people saying that even with 75 kilos it was fine etc etc and I'm well aware of how sturdy such a kit back SHOULD be but, sadly, this didn't fit the bill in any way, shape or form. I used it twice to carry wood from a nearby forest to my home and can't have had more than 40 kilos in it each time. On the second use the eyelet used to attach the strap broke after about 2 minutes of carrying it. Popped straight out of the whole completely warped. It's made of very thin/pliable metal. The "male" part of the eyelet is ok but the female part seems to be about as strong as the material they make coke cans from. Really unimpressed and annoyed by this as the bag itself seems well put together in terms of material and it's a good size but I'm well used to using such bags in the past and they lasted for years. This was a bad investment.

Colour and Fastenings.
My bag came really fast and was folded to a reasonably small and easy transportable size. It was a slightly different green to the picture shown, but colour wasn't really important to me to I'm still happy with that. The one tiny issue I had was that I wasn't aware of what 'eyelet and clip closure' was, so I had to come back to Amazon to look back at the picture, so I could have done with a small instruction sheet or something like that. But all in all it's very sturdy with a strong handle. Really good value for money and I'd consider getting another.

As shown
Strong and beige green, lasts, thick material, was cheaper when I got it, useful.Clips and rings are sturdy. Could use more handles and some more stiching to support them.

Big tough and cheap
The other reviewers seem to sum this product up quite well but here's my opinions. This bag is the Highlander army kit bag and it's basically a huge sack, it has one large 90+litre (I think) compartment and no fancy iPod pockets, water bottle holders or other such stuff. It is made from a very tough canvas material and should last a long time.It has one carry handle and one shoulder strap that is quite short, you can barely get it over your shoulder. My understanding is that army kit bags are not meant to be carried for long periods and this certainly would be very awkward to carry for more than a few minutes. It does have a funny canvas smell but the smell fades with time.Allegedly it's strong enough that you can fill it with sand and use it for weight lifting, and it's far cheaper than proper weight-lifting-with-sand bags. Also allegedly it can be filled with scraps of cloth and used as a punch bag.I think if you're looking for a big cheap tough sack then this is great but (like all army kit bags?) it's poorly suited to long distance carry.
