25 Litre Fermentation Vessel/Bucket/Bin + airlock

Used this to make Elderflower champagne

I bought this in 2022, up till now had only used it for making elderberry wine with last year's crop and the bucket was only half full. I have just used it with a wine kit that required 22.7 litres in total including the concentrate (plus 4 kilos of sugar), and the bucket is full right to the brim. Not ideal if you're following a recipe. I will need to try another brand and hope it's bigger. Otherwise the bucket is ok, though I have made my own measure markings on the outside with permanent marker.

It says to use petroleum jelly round the seals and rim, so I put some Vaseline (other brands are available) round the bung and the airlock and it fitted in very easily. (Now who would have guessed that?) I also used some round the rim and that may have made it a bit easier to get the lid to fit. It does take a bit of effort to click it on all the way round but the seal is spot on, unlike many other bins.The down side is that there are no level markers and you can only just see the wine level through the plastic. That's not an issue if you measure what's going in of course or if you're transferring from another bin.I liked them enough to buy another two.

What else can you say about a plastic bucket? Lid fits closely (as it should), seems nicely made, the vendors did a good job and clearly have a talent for imaginative names. Delivery was quick and reasonably priced.

This fermentation bucket can be used for either Beer or wine making. It is better to have one bucket for each, so I mark the buckets and ferment individual brews. These buckets must be kept spotlessly clean so always sterilize with Campden tablets.

Ordered 2 of these. While the plastic is good quality there are no graduations on the bucket and the lid is extreemly difficult to remove and reattach. Ive had mich better buckets than this one
