Can't fault it for the price
I bought a USB converter from Perixx to run a vintage mechanical keyboard on a modern PC, so I thought I may as well get a mouse to accompany it. This mouse is exactly what I needed. It's wired (I hate wireless as the batteries always need replacing, and wireless devices get so annoyingly erratic when the batteries start to run low). It's also optical (I like retro, but I'm glad future generations will never experience the frustration of a sticking mouse-ball). It's also very, very cheap. Fortunately, it works a charm and is comfortable to hold. You can tell it's not a high-end mouse, but pointer-motion is wonderful and precise, the buttons give a nice, satisfying, decisive "click", and it feels like it will last a few years at least. You really can't fault it for the price.

Great PS2 mouse for Spectrum Next!
I purchased this PS2 mouse in anticipation of the Spectrum Next as it uses a PS2 connection, not USB. Although I haven’t got my Spectrum Next yet, I’ve tested this mouse with my PC and I’m really happy with it. It’s 3 button (2 finger buttons and wheel click button) and it’s very smooth and responsive, due to its dpi. It’s a nice comfortable size that is both usable for hours on end but small enough to not take up too much room. Summary: Very pleased with this mouse. It works great and is a great price. Can’t wait to use this on my Spectrum Next!

The PERIMICE-201PII B: Simple, Reliable, and Functional 🖱️💻
In the world of computer peripherals, sometimes simplicity is the key to success. The Perixx PERIMICE-201PII B, Wired PS2 Optical Mouse, embodies this philosophy, offering a straightforward and no-frills solution for those seeking a reliable and efficient pointing device. One of the standout features of this mouse is its user-friendly shape design. The sleek, minimalist shape fits comfortably in the hand, making it suitable for users of all hand sizes. The matte finish not only adds a touch of elegance but also provides a soft and pleasant grip, ensuring a comfortable experience during extended use. 👌🖐️ The PERIMICE-201PII B boasts a respectable 1000dpi resolution, which translates to smooth and precise cursor control. While it may not be the highest resolution on the market, it strikes a perfect balance between accuracy and responsiveness for most everyday computing tasks. 🎯📈 Additionally, the 1.8-meter durable cable ensures ample freedom of movement, allowing you to position the mouse comfortably without feeling tethered or restricted. This feature is particularly useful for those who prefer a wired connection over wireless alternatives. 🔌💪 One of the noteworthy aspects of this mouse is its compatibility with PS2 ports, making it an ideal choice for system integration or legacy setups. Simply plug it in, and you're ready to go without the hassle of driver installations or complicated configurations. 🔌⚙️ While the PERIMICE-201PII B may lack advanced features found in more high-end mice, such as adjustable DPI settings or programmable buttons, it excels in its simplicity and affordability. For those seeking a reliable and straightforward pointing device, this mouse from Perixx delivers on its promise. 👍💯 It's worth mentioning that some users have reported a slightly shorter lifespan compared to more premium options, but for the price point, the PERIMICE-201PII B offers excellent value for money, making it a great choice for budget-conscious consumers or those in need of a backup or supplementary mouse. 📉💰 Overall, the Perixx PERIMICE-201PII B, Wired PS2 Optical Mouse, is a solid choice for those who prioritize simplicity, reliability, and functionality over advanced features. Its user-friendly design, smooth tracking, and plug-and-play convenience make it a practical and affordable solution for everyday computing needs. 🖱️💻✨

Satisfactory performance at a reasonable price
I bought this mouse because there was a huge choice of mice, I needed something fast and did not have the time or energy to spend looking for the ideal mouse. The mouse is cheaply made, but it's well made enough and still going after 15 months. Accuracy is adequate: it can be difficult to make very small mouse movements (try moving a gparted partition slider by a small increment) and scrolling with the wheel by a very small amount causes a larger scroll movement than is ideal. The mouse is comfortable in the hand and clicking the buttons requires just about the right amount of pressure. Overall, this is a good, basic, low-budget mouse and will do very well while you hunt for the perfect one for you.

At this price it would be silly to want more
Pros: Price speaks for itself. It's 3 button so no annoying side buttons that you will never use anyway to click accidentally and it's symmetrical so it's great for left handers such as myself. It's 1000dpi which is decent enough for normal use and a lot smoother and more precise than 800dpi alternatives. The buttons are large and sculpted and are comfortable. Middle mouse click is pronounced, clear and will not be made accidentally. Construction is all firm but light plastic with no rubber parts that will wear away. Cons: it's a lot smaller than a microsoft mouse and doesn't fill your palm unless you have small hands so this will take getting used to for some people. The scroll wheel "notches" are closer together than an ms one and less pronounced. Feels like the step effect on the scroll wheel will wear off over time as it's a little on the spongy side but this could equally change for the better after more use.

Ridiculously low price, but best mouse I have owned!!!
I have owned a few optical mouses (or should that be "mice") over the years, so ordered this one for £4 not quite believing the positive reviews that accompanied it. My findings are that this is the easiest to use & most fluid mouse that I have ever owned. It seems that I can actually point to a destination more quickly & accurately than I have been able to before, whilst the buttons feel more assured in use. It is not a USB mouse (as I initially thought), although this probably makes it even easier to use straight out of the box without any hardware conflict issues. I simply plugged it in to the circular green mouse port & Bob was my uncle... Don't spend any more.

Good value.
It's true that it will work without any additional drivers, and it functions just fine. The only minor drawback I've found is that Windows 7, finding no drivers, treats it as a 'generic' wheel mouse, and doesn't allow the amount of scrolling associated with the wheel to be adjusted. Mine has defaulted to 4 lines, perhaps inherited from the one it replaced. I can live with that. It did arrive next day, which was more important at the time, and is comfortable to use all day. I can't give it 5 stars, but it's worth a bit more than 4.
