REALLY DOES WORK!
Wasn't sure if this was going to stop our new horse from grabbing onto the edge of the water bucket and continually biting down on the edges on it......getting close to beginning to crib......well, I have to say it stopped him IMMEDIATELY......plus the Cribox has stayed on for about 4 days now and is still doing its job with just the original application ........we weren't sure if this would prevent him from drinking water and it hasn't. He just learned to drink directly in the center of the bucket.....We have him in 2 different places during the day and have treated both buckets and we've had AMAZING SUCCESS....would highly recommend this if your horse is beginning to crib.

Finally, a product that really works!
Received this in just a couple of days. This stuff really works. My mare cribs (sucking wind) after she eats. I was afraid of her getting splinters of wood in her mouth and throat. I didn't want to use a collar on her just because I was afraid of it becoming too tight and hurting her. So, I tried the spray that guaranteed results-didn't work. I tried the supplement that guarantees results-didn't work. I tried vinegar and even home made hot pepper salsa on the wood she used to crib. She just licked it all off. First time using this stuff; she sniffed it and walked away. Nothing else ever worked! But this stuff is great. It is medium brown/caramel in color, thick and sticky. You will want to use gloves and a paint brush to apply it. It lasts through rain and a little goes a long way. I also supplemented her feed with a product called Ulzerless, just in case tummy trouble was causing her cribbing. With these two products, I now have a transformed mare. She's much calmer and more pleasant. Will continue to use as long as cribbing remains her habit.UPDATE: This stuff is amazing. My mare continues to avoid it at all costs. So glad it was recommended to me by one of my horse forums. And, I'm so thankful I don't have to make her wear a collar. Peace of mind for me.

Seems to work
Product seems to work well. Have only had it a week but working so far. Only gave 4 star because the product arrived damaged. Huge box, no packing, so the lid was broken and off. However there were no pieces of the broken lid in the box so it seems maybe it was put in the box already damaged. Luckily it's very thick so it was still in the jar. Probably helps its winter and cold, hot weather it may have melted been a mess.

Works on even the most persistent cribbers
This product works! We had a cribber that needed to be turned out with a collar because he would flip water tuba over and crib on metal gates badly. This has stopped him in his tracks! The downside of this product is that is rubs off easily in the stall. A major pro is that it appears to be pretty waterproof—if we put it on something outside in a pasture it stays put for a long time.

Doesn't work on all cribbers
I was really wanting this product to work, but, unfortunately, it did not with my new thoroughbred gelding. I applied it to the stall divider. He rubbed his jaw over where the cribox was applied, which a fews days later lost the hair in those spots.I was willing to try this and accepted that it may be messy. The hair loss and sore spots are not ok though, and even if it had worked, I would be reluctant to use with this horse. It may work for some, but did not work on my barn.

Only thing that works for my horse
The only thing that keeps my horse from cribbing and I’ve tried just about everything. Best applied when warmed above room temp ( let it sit in the sun or near a heater first). I use latex gloves after warming it up and smear it on anything he might crib on. Works best on dry surfaces.

This works!
Finally, a product that stops chewing! My gelding, Gizmo, had been running his teeth up the stall bars for attention. Standing knee-deep in hay, with toys and full-time access to his paddock, Gizmo was running a groove into his teeth because he likes the noise of the stall bars. At first, I had to apply the Cribox every few days. (It's the consistency of a sticky wax. I wear a rubber glove and use my fingers.) Gizmo would search out any untreated surfaces to chew, but after a couple of weeks he finally gave up the behavior! Now, he stands quietly and waits at feeding time. He stands quietly when I'm chatting with someone outside his stall. I lavish him with praise for being patient, and he isn't destroying his teeth anymore. The other product stopped chewing, only because the horses licked it off the walls. Cribox completely stopped Gizmo's teeth-on-bars behavior.
