can you provide list of routers that fit without modifications?

Here is the list of compatible routers from the owner's manual - it would have been nice to have this when I was shopping:Bosch Models 1613 series, 1617 series (fixed base only), 1619EVS;Craftsman listed as "most Craftsman 1/2" collet routers";DeWalt DW616, DW618 (Fixed base only);Hitachi M12VC;Makita RF1100, RF1101;Milwaukee 5615, 5616;Porter Cable 690 Series, 7529 plunge router and 892-895 series (fixed base only);Ryobi R161, R162, RE170, RE180 PL;Skil 1810, 1815, 1820, 1825.I used this table with my Craftsman and tried to use it with the Makita RF1101. The problem there lay with the Makita design, however, not this table. The router mounted beautifully to the table and bit replacement and cutting depth was a dream from the top, but the motor base would not stay locked in place in an undermount setup due to Makita's deficient lock lever design. (If you're curious about the particulars, please see my review of the Makita RF1101). This was a crying shame IMO, since the Makita is supposed to be a real workhorse, unlike my burned out Craftsman. I have now been using it with the Milwaukee 5616 for the past 3 years and it works satisfactorily.

can a router lift be attached.

Bosch does make a router lift that does fit this table and the plate has a pre-drilled hole for the lifting mechanism(RA1165). You have to have a router that fits correctly into that lifting mechanism. If you get another kind of lift, you simply get it centered and then drill the hole as your lift requires. I would recommend just using another insert and don't mess with this plate if you have to do this. Two reasons, 1) get a clear plate you can see through, this one is aluminum and there is no seeing through it, and 2) get a plate already with a lift that fits this table and you don't have to mess with any drilling - just know the size of plate you need and if it will fit your current or projected router. I don't remember the router motors that will fit the Bosch lift, but it is limited. I do own and use this table but have not upgraded to a lift yet. These are the options available to me.

Can I mount this table to a different base? I want a router table that mounts on a taller stand, rather than a bench top unit.

I'm 5'7" and the pre-made stands I've found are all too tall. I decided to sacrifice an old B&D Workmate 300 and not extend the lower legs. Took the clamps off and drilled 2 holes and enlarged 2 holes. Using a 3/4" piece of plywood in between cut just larger than the Workmate frame. The resulting height is perfect for me. Stable and I can disassemble into small pieces pretty fast if I need to. I used pronged - recessed nuts for the table to plywood bolts and through bolts for the plywood to stand bolts.

Excellent build quality, however switch does not support 220/240V for UK/EU mains supply.

Build quality is excellent. However this should not be shipped to the UK as the switch only support power of 110V and not 220/240V. There is no mention of this that I could see. That aside the actual cabinet is excellent and far superior to anything I could find here even with shipping and import costs.

THIS IS NOT U.K. COMPATIBLE WITH ELECTRIC SUPPLY.

DONT BUY THIS....... This has all the wrong electrical connections on to work in this country. It’s fine if you live in America, as it will plug in and probably work. You can’t even take the American plug off and add a U.K. one,as it’s a sealed plug fitting,if you do take it off and replace with a U.K. one,you will need to wire the American plug to your router to plug it into the American style socket. Complete waste of money,then you have to pay to send the thing back....they do contribute £20.00 towards the cost....... Amazon should be made aware of this as it’s a right carry on getting it shipped back to America and costly,bulky and heavy lifting. Extremely disappointed with the purchase,bought an expensive table thinking it would pay off in time,it’s cost me in the long run though.

BEWARE

This product is only for the US market, the metal plate is pre-drilled for US distributed routers, even Bosch routers in the UK do not fit. Contacted Bosch and still waiting for a response 2 months later, customer service! Currently this table is used as a talking point when I have visitors, any chance I can return this?
