Welcoming fire!
Wonderful, having the flames back makes a cosy lounge.

Stick with the OEM Optimyst transducer
Although expensive, the original equipment transducer works much better than the cheaper copies

Produces an abundance of mist
Great to see the manufacturer of this replacement has sealed the bottom of the transducer so that no welding spots can corrode. This transducer appears very powerful compared with the original, possibly due to stronger transistor/s. The result being a lot of mist. So much in fact that after installing and turning on I have to set the mist control to minimum - my preference - but even a little setting above this creates an abundance of mist, too much for my taste hence the four stars. Otherwise, on the first day at least, it is working well.

Seems to have done the trick! (Lasted exactly 1 year)
Brought my Dimplex fire back to life!Arrived within 24 hours too which was unexpected but appreciated!Did all the usual stuff, gave it all a good clean, checked the fan was running etc and seemed that it was most likely that the transducter had packed in as it’s been patchy at misting up for a few months now and recently just stopped altogether (it’s had the original in since 2017 so not fared too badly!)So easy to swap out the old for the new although it’s not exactly the same as the original (missing the part that sticks out underneath to keep it in place so the wire doesn’t cross over the top of it) but regardless it’s worked and I’m all set for a cosy Autumn!Read other reviews saying it doesn’t last half as long as the original that came with the fire so I hope I’m not amending this in a couple of months time!Going to look at how to replace the disk in the transducter as it’s probably cheaper than buying a new thing each time, but that can wait for another day as I’ve got to put my feet up by the fire now!🔥** Update (exactly one year later) - fire stopped working after a year of use with the replacement part, would light up then click off as soon as the mist was supposed to begin. Bought again and the problem has solved again, so it looks like it has around a 12 month life which isn’t terrible but not as good as the original which lasted about 4 years. Regardless we’re working again so I’m happy, will actually look into learning how to replace the disk for next time!

Im really disappointed!
The media could not be loaded. I wanted an M011B and bought from the Dimplex shop because i wanted the correct genuine part. when i received it , i plugged it in and it just spits water all over. On inspection i have received RM - 1220A.I thought ok, i will contact them, 4 attempts i have made on there contact page which when you get to the end wont submit. Very poor.

Works fine but keep your old one
Perfect replacement for an optimyst fire. Easy to install but slightly different to the original dimplex one. Keep your old one as it has a small metal guide at the bottom ( rectangular piece of metal ) . This will show you how to position your new one so it matches the original.

very good value. Seemingly
Compatively speaking: very good value. Seemingly, the ceramic discs are NOT covered under warranty ( classed as consumables like bulbs ) so you need to buy replacements, as did I, despite only 10 months of life. The cheapest I could source being £21 for two on the bay, and, if the transducer was faulty, I wouldn't know until I tried it out. So, I got the complete fitting for just over £50, and have either a spare disc, or transducer, to salvage from in the future. If you have the older copper disc type, these seem to be the update version,/ fit all, and ceramic is supposed to outlast copper too.The bulbs are the GU 16 type btw. A quid for two at our local pound shop. Expensive to run spares wise, however, the effect is fabulous, so an acceptable trade off!Dave
