POWERbreathe Classic Light Resistance (Wellness)

Used for 4 days and it does help with Asthma especially after colds which for us Asthma people are bad times. I cranked it up to level 4 after each day and this resistance is noticeably good. Cannot keep on pumping drugs into our bodies to help us breath ..

Hi, I purchased a Powerbreath Classic unit in Jan 2019 from Alton Sports. I didn`t get a chance to use it until last Nov. Found the unit to be really good and my lung capacity improved dramatically over a relatively short period of time. I have looked after the unit as recommended in the booklet, washing and drying it after use each day and sanitising it on a regular basis. About a month ago the valve began to stick such that it became impossible to draw air. I found that by rotating the cap on the air inlet I could then get the valve to work, however it is not as it was originally. I believe the unit needs a new valve. Would you please advise.

I am aware that it is early says but after 5 days of using this I can really feel the benefits and am breathing deeper than I have for years. Not sure if it's a coincidence but a chest virus I've had for 9 weeks which affected my ashma quite seriously has just about extinguished itself since I started using this and my breath flow has improved by70 units. So if you have ashma I really recommend this item. I'm not sure about coming off my medication but in the long term that really would be a result. Thank you and I will update this review later.

Good , and simple to use , only got it recently to help with a fibrosis issue I have , doing it twice a day and see how it will help later in the month .

I bought the Classic hoping the other reviews I'd read were right. They were! Easy and practical to use, I have only been using the Classic for a few weeks and already I feel measurably better. Yes measurably because I tested myself on a peak-flow meter and am getting much better results. Practically I have found doing physical activities that much easier too. For me this has been money well spent!(And it was cheaper than anywhere else too!)I'd certainly recommend it.

Acheté pour faire des exercices de rééducation respiratoires (voir IMST sur le net). Suite à un problème coronarien il y a deux ans (porteur de stents), l'activité physique - dont la marche - est conseillée. L'IMST permet aussi de faire baisser la tension artérielle et de fortifier les muscles respiratoires. Après trois semaines d'exercices, je commence à constater un essoufflement moindre lors d'efforts physique (par exemple tonte d'herbes hautes...) ce que ne m’apportait pas les autres activités sportives. Je n'en suis qu'au début. Un peu tôt encore, mais l'exercice semble aussi améliorer les problèmes de diaphragme. L'appareil est bien conçu, réglage de force aisé (j'en suis au niveau 3/9), facile à nettoyer, et semble solide. J'ai été parfaitement conseillé par le vendeur quant au choix des divers modèles (il existe plusieurs modèles PowerBreathe, identifiés par leur couleur, selon la force de travail et les objectifs visés - préparatoire, médicaux, sportifs). Très satisfait.
