Excellent choice - if you like the tone
I have tried various strings on my flamenco guitar - Daddario EJ45, Hannabach and Tomatito which all gave a sound that I liked and sounded good whether playing classical or flamenco music. I thought I'd give these a try and the difference in tone has been amazing. The guitar now really sounds like a flamenco guitar, with plenty of "attack", but the downside is that it doesn't sound as good when playing classical pieces. I appreciate that every guitar is different and it may just be the effect on my guitar which may not be the same as someone else's.As other reviewers have said, they do need breaking in but for me it's worth it.And for the classical pieces - maybe it's a reason to buy another guitar ......

superb strings
Possibly the best flamenco strings I have tried. I own a high end hand built flamenco guitar and these string provide clear articulation with a strong percussive attack. Would defiantly recommend.

Great strings
These are great strings with bright, but not thin sounding trebles, and resonant basses. They've also earned a reputation for longevity. Which is just as well as they are very expensive. What you're paying the extra for is (a) The string tension, the top 3 'set' and the bottom three 'set' are at about the same tension - which is ideal for flamenco guitars (b) The transatlantc fleece - where US companies charge in pounds what they charge in dollars inc. taxes at home: in this case, plus some. Are they worth it? Until I find something that offers both the tensions and the tone at a better price, yes.

Best strings
I think these are the best strings I have ever used. They last ages and after months sound great and I think theyare strong.I used to have the Dario classics

Top top strings
Tremendous tone and percussive qualities. Great for flamenco but also for whatever. Just a great set of strings.

Great strings
Excellent service, delivered in under 20 hours of ordering. The strings feel and sound amazing! Best way to upgrade a guitar. My cheap Stagg now sounds like a more expensive guitar, feels better too. I'm actually playing better.

Instant flamenco sound.
Last year I bought a second hand (1986) Cuenca 70F, signed and numbered. I’ve been lazy about changing the strings and with the strings it had on it didn’t sound a lot different from a classical. I put these on and suddenly it’s a proper flamenco. The difference in sound is amazing. I didn’t know strings could make such a difference. The strings seem expensive but I would buy them again for the sound quality. I haven’t rated them on longevity because they’ve only been on two weeks.

Misleading description.
I've bought these strings a couple of times now and despite this statement in the description,"EXTRA STRING - This set has black nylon treble strings, with an extra, optional composite 3rd/G-string for increased projection"There is no extra string.
