No I am almost certain it cannot be connected to a pc otherwise /I would have done so.

Q: Is it possible to download the data, or how do you transfer?

You cannot download the data with this unit. It saves rainfall data on a rolling week basis, and weekly and monthly data for 7 periods each. It will also store maximum and minimum temperature. I have copied the data across on a weekly basis to a spreadsheet, and have done so for 10 years, but this is the only way to retain the data. If the battery needs replacing in the base unit (not the rain gauge) any previous data is lost.

Q: Does anyone know why an alarm sounds every so often on 2 i have? the gauge alarms are off. both they go off together and the satellite symbol shows

Well there is a rain alert and a temperature alert alarm, which are set using the B2 and B4 buttons. If you have both in the off position then there should be no sound, that's what I do and never hear any sound. Maybe you accidentally left them in the on position.

Q: rain guage not working

There is a button to switch between inside and outside temperature. Switch this to outside and if the radio is working you will see the correct temperature. If the temperature reading works then take the lid off and see saw the buckets inside and the rain should show on the display. Of neither temp or rain work - send it back
