3M Repositionable Precise Mousing Surface

This is the best mouse pad we have owned over the years. It is a like a giant removable sticker. It is very thin, and the surface is very smooth and is obviously designed to reduce friction to a minimum. It has proved to hold up very well and because it sticks to the surface, the corners don't curl up as can happen with cloth mouse pads. The sticky backing gradually collects dust and becomes less sticky, but it has lasted years. It is also convenient to bring in the laptop bag as you can simply stick it to the lid of the laptop. My wife and I have both used it with various mice including Apple, Microsoft and Logitech, and all have worked as expected. It does seem a bit expensive for a giant sticker, but given how well it has lasts, it ends up making sense.

This works well with my Logitech M505 Laser mouse. It provided accurate tracking. On a smooth table top the pad sticks down nicely (it has a sticky rear surface - though can removed like a post-it note). It is not padded like conventional mouse pads. Some may dislike that, though I like it, as it means it is nearly flush with the table surface.My only complaint is that is is a little small. I would ideally like a larger pad (though it is the size described).

Purchased this mouse mat for the Apple keyboard and Apple mouse I recently purchased and I must say this is the best mouse mat I've ever used. At first I wondered how this thing stays still until I realised you stick it to your desk with the adhesive backing. The adhesive backing can and is already quite dirty but still sticky. I doubt the sticky adhesive will last a long time in my situation so I think because of this reason the mouse mat is slightly quite expensive. Nevertheless the texture over the mouse mat means moving your mouse isn't *too* soft but is just the right consistency for accurate tracking. Great buy overall!

I bought this mouse mat as I have a magic mouse, so the standard mouse mats do not work, and due to an excessive amount of usage of the mouse, the wood of my desk was beginning to wear away.When this arrived, I instantly stuck it to my desk and have not moved it since, it has worked very well, never had problems with it.Initially I thought it would get noisy (the material is that type you can run your fingers over to make funny sounds, the same stuff they use for those pictures that show different pictures at different angles) but it's been fine!!Highly recommend to anyone with a Magic Mouse.Delivery wasn't great, but I think Home Delivery Network's fault.

Seriously this is a great idea that fails to be great. It is small, which is what I wanted, and it works as a mouse mat, but it is too thin to be a standalone product, and its adhesive is too weak. If you put it on a surface it will soon lift off. If you put it permanently on a mobile surface to turn it into a mat then it will still lift. It is like a free beta product that is given away at tech exhibitions as a market test. I've not repositioned it, so the adhesive is as good as it will ever be, but if you moved it between surfaces it would only pick up dust and would be completely useless within a week. It needs a better adhesive, or to come already stuck to a firmer base. Nice idea, but missed the target badly.

Don't buy this if you're looking for a mat for your optical Apple Magic Mouse - it doesn't work at all!I bought this mat after my Magic Mouse started to wear away at my table, and it began to 'stick' as the optics struggled to function over the worn areas. The photos that go with the 3M Precise Mousing Surface show a Magic Mouse resting on it, so I thought, this is the one to buy - cheap, good looking, and made for the Magic Mouse. I was very wrong.As soon as I placed the Magic Mouse on the mat, the mouse pointer on screen could barely be moved at all. I confirmed that it was the mat's fault by placing the mouse on my table again - and it worked as good as before, albeit with the 'sticking' from the worn table top.So it's completely useless. Not only that, it's not made out of a metallic material, as the photo would suggest. It's a fake sheen that's printed onto the mat, a grey material made to look like metal. When I move the mouse around the mat, it makes a loud scratchy noise as the surface is textured with small dimples - I can only assume to aid roller-ball mice, not optical mice like the Apple Magic Mouse. That's £10 I won't see again!

I bought a new desk which was glossy white, and to my dismay, my mouse would no longer work as it had no surface detail to detect. I hated the idea of a mouse mat (so old fashioned!), so i wanted something a bit less conspicuous. This 'mousing surface' sticks like a post-it note to my desk meaning no slippage whatsoever, yet it doesnt leave a sticky residue and is easy to peel off and re-stick elsewhere. It is a little small, so placement in a comfortable position is important to get the full range of movement your mouse hand has.My only gripe is that it's not transparent like i thought it was. I figured the gradient pattern on the product images was to illlustrate (in a slightly crummy way) a 'transparent' effect, but no - it actually has that solid grey patterned gradient on it. I'd prefer it to be transparent (like those hard wood floor chair protectors), but it's by far the best solution to my shiny desk dilemma i know of, so i'm happy.
