Good for the money, but ruined by one simple thing.
I bought this mouse to replace the HP one I was using at work since it was cheap and had good reviews. It's comfortable in the hand, the scroll wheel is nice and chunky, the DPI switch works out of the box without drivers and the buttons all click pretty well, though the middle mouse button is really tough to click down. This mouse is great except for it's one fatal downfall: angle snapping. The mouse has a vertical dead zone which makes your mouse move pixel perfect horizontally. You can try it out in paint, try and draw a straight line from left to right and you will likely find it's pretty much pixel perfect with this mouse. Do a Google image search for "angle snapping" and you will see what I mean. This was the biggest flaw of the Logitech MX518 that annoyed a lot of people and made me throw mine out for an MS IE 3.0 (Logitech finally got rid of it on the later G400's).Why is this bad?Well, with this snapping, try drawing a line on a very slight incline. It will be horribly stepped as the mouse flicks between horizontal and it's minimum vertical angle. This is no good for your muscle memory in gaming as it's an unpredictable pattern, and ultimately your accuracy will suffer for it, and it's completely useless for image editing. If you want a cheap mouse for day to day use, go with it. If you want gaming or photoshop, fork out a bit more for a Logitech G400 (avoid laser like the plague).

Cheap gaming mouse. Yes, cheaply made.
Just because it's got 'gaming' in its name, doesn't mean it's any good for gaming. The wire is crimped in a downwards direction causing the mouse to drag on the mouse pad and not make good contact with the tracking surface. Rubber grips slide off making it very much less comfortable very quickly. Adequate given the low price, apart from the wire issue which is just a horrible design and or assembly error. SHouldn't be allowed to sell in this condition. Cheap price for a reason.

Fantastic Gaming Mouse
Well it was the previous reviews for this mouse that made me purchase it. I have been looking for a gaming mouse for a while now as I am a PC gamer and I needed to move on from the cheap mouse I had. So I searched everywhere online and found gaming mouses were more expensive than I first thought. After a long time searching I thought a gaming mouse would be something I would have to save up for but then when this popped up in my search it all changed. I could see from the images that it looked fairly sturdy and well built and looks comfortable to use.Anyway it arrived within two working days in the Christmas period using Amazon Super Saver delivery which I was very impressed about.Next I plugged it into the computer and it installed in seconds without any discs and it was ready to play. I then opened Far Cry 3 and gave it ago.WOW what a fantastic mouse, comfortable and easy to use. I am so glad I purchased it, worth every penny.5 stars!

A mouse that won't fail you
This is my 3rd GM-M6800 mouse - and not because they break or don't last. I've had them for years and years. When I go to a new job, I order one for work. I have one for travelling. I have one at home. They die of old age/heavy use/being treated badly. So comfy. Great responsive buttons. I don't use them for gaming but every day office work and it is a perfect mouse for that.I am sold on this product as the quality hasn't changed over the many many years I've been using it.

Excellent!
This mouse is excellent! I initially began my search for a wired mouse because I found it incredibly mundane having to regularly search for batteries after my wireless mouse had ran out of juice.I was looking for a good looking, ergonomic wired mouse with two well placed buttons on the side for easier use. I was not disappointed. The mouse looks very sleek, and the back and forward buttons on the side are extremely easy to press with very little travel.I myself am not a fan of glossy black plastic, so the sides of the mouse are slightly unattractive to me. Also, the lightness of the mouse does sometimes make it feel cheap. However for the most part this is an advantage as I regularly move it around with my laptop.I've been using this mouse for a few weeks now, for regular use (not gaming) and I am thoroughly impressed. Although I do find the cursor moves around wildly when using it on a leather sofa's armrest! The scroll wheel is also very smooth. All in all I highly recommend this mouse due to its comfortable feel and inexpensive price. If a more premium feeling mouse is something you desire, I still would not write this mouse off, as it can be easily disassembled via two screws under the mouse, where one can add weights to the inside to increase its mass.

Good, but not as good as the m6900
I bought this for my second pc, and was hoping it would give me the same feel as the m6900 I had on the main pc. Unfortunately although it has a reasonable feel to it and is more ergonomic than most other mice, it still doesn't feel as 'right' as holding my 5+ year old m6900. In hindsight, I think I should probably have paid a bit more and got one of those instead. However I'm giving it 4 stars because in its own right it is still a good mouse and much better than average ergonomics, just can't rate it 5 stars knowing it's sibling mouse feels better.
