Great for ascending and descending with the use of a hand jammer and foot loop .

hate hate hate!!!! The old design is much better, this jammer in much too grippy on the rope and the plate wares to be sharp not what you want when you use it with rope. Losing so much confidence in Petzl's caving gear especially with the changes made to the petzel simple and will be buying a new chest jammer from Climbing Technology as they're much better. Don't waste your money.

Läuft sehr zuverlässig und leicht am Seil mit. Auf den ersten 2 Metern fehlt das Seil Gewicht und man muß die Klemme bei den ersten 1 2 Zügen von Hand nachziehen, aber das ist bei Geräten dieser Art normal. Öffnet leicht, verriegelt sicher und ist angenehm klein.

It is hard to beat the quality of most any Petzl product, and this is no exception. Now top that with the shopping ease and quick delivery to my door of Amazon, just makes that much better!
