Highly Recommended, total transformation.
We have a 17 month old Border Collie absolutely brilliant with the grandchildren, loves working (looking for balls that have been hidden etc), good with control words and commands. Off the lead very good. But! put her on a lead and you get dragged to the park no matter what you do or say or do. Was recommended the Halti Headcollar by may sister in law who had similar problems with her Labrador. Found this one on Amazon Warehouse arrived the next day just in time for the afternoon walk. OK she did not like me putting the head collar on her, but she accepted it, put the lead on her and opened the gate whereas we would normally be off, she walked perfectly to heel only a 5 minute walk to the park but a total transformation. She has now worn this several times now and accepts me putting it on her and as mentioned no more pulling. I do remove the Headcollar at the park because it could get caught up in the undergrowth, but again no problems when I put the head collar back on her to get home. I will just mention that at 75 years old and on a waiting list to get on the waiting list for a knee replacement this has been a total success from my point of view. Also, although I ordered a size 1 Headcollar I would like to point out that she is a small collie and a size2 would be big.

Good quality
Good quality and durable. Easy to adjust and really helped with training.

Good
These are great little halti collars that help with strong dogs.. the only downside is they are easily chewed through if left.. i would suggest an extra clip on the under bit to stop movement when travelling in a car as these are not very secure without a lead on.

Quick result, hope they continue
Before I get into the full review my first indication was that they may be a little flimsy, but this is just meant for the head and not entire body and the price point sort of indicates the amount of material your getting. That said I saw no issues with it, the seams seem perfectly fine and I found adjusting them easy enough. Just a little context. I have two dogs that I walk and I've trying to walking them on a single leads which has two attachments (one for each dog). Which as the youngest has become older is a nightmare and so resulted in me going back to having my male dog back on the figure 8 leads. We have tried putting the younger female dog on a figure but she has proven much more resistant to it. My male dog is half beagle and so is driven by his nose, while the female is very sound based and so is more alert to what is happening around her (part of the problem of walking them both, they care about completely different things) I had this on my female dog twice before attempting to walk with it and she just paws at her face trying to get it off. This is as expected and why they recommend treats. I knew this was going to happen though, as stated in the context she has been resistance to the figure 8 leads. My male dog Milo took much better to it, but he also wanted to get it off every now and again... probably more as he knew he wasn't walking anywhere. This morning came the real test. I put the harnesses and head harness on each dog. When we got outside the female dog got it off pretty much as soon as we left (still in the garden) and so we had to went back in put it back on and attempted again. Attempt 2 was much better, she was walking but would still stop to try and paw it off. After removing her paw a few times and the male trying to pull a different direction she adjusted and just walked with. Once the walk had actually begun (2+ minutes of walking with no stops) everything seemed fine, she would still occasionally stop and attempt to get it off and I would remove paw and continue the walk. Very quickly they were both far better to walk, they were actually considering were the other was and were walking side by side. They started realising they'd need to wait if the male was smelling or the female was checking a lot sound out (usually a truck driving by). This next part is only in part about the head harness. The only thing I found about this is that in unison with the joint dog lead, is that they'd keep getting tangled and because they are getting pulled down by the nuzzle they just sort of stop or paw at their face... so just be more alert and ensure the lead is high enough not to get caught on which ever dog is taller. Once we were back the female dog was really happy, so she seemed to enjoy her walk (super tail wags). The male was happy, but he was less resistant and its sort of the norm him getting walked on the figure 8. FYI - I bought a cream one and a green one, both size 3. I wasn't expected any differences and there weren't any.

Does the job but cheaply made
It does the job of stopping pulling and my 10 month old labrador now walks by my side instead of thinking hes a steam train charging on. But for a well known brand, its very flimsy made. The plastic connectors under the nose (that keep the fabric together as it goes through the ring) snapped within 2 weeks of daily walks. Wouldn't buy again due to being cheaply made and have now purchased another brand that seems more sturdy

Works immediately
Never had used a halti before until now. Our 9month GSD was pulling and though I could control him my wife couldn't. This stopped it immediately and now he walks without pulling and hopefully learn not to pull without it . Seemed small for our dog but once fitted it was fine but did use treats to make the fitting a positive experience.

Best money I’ve ever spent!
I don’t usually write reviews but this halti is amazing! It’s like I have a different dog. Admittedly my dog didn’t like the halti to begin with, however, after 3-4 walks and plenty of treats to show positive associations, she was fine with it. I am honestly enjoying walking my lovely dog for the first time since we got her, her pulling was so excessive and now it has been eliminated ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

It works
Bought this to replace a different type which I had returned (thank you Amazon) because I found it unsatisfactory. This Halti arrived promptly and is a better design as well as much better made. The webbing is wider so less pressure on the dog skin. It was easy to fit on the dog and stays in place. The buckles and clips are robust. Most important of all it works and my dog is happy to wear it. She is calm and walking much better without pulling. So all in all a success. My only gripe, and it really is just a small issue, the packaging does not do the product justice, creates a poor impression and can’t be helping sales. A small plain plastic bag like a supermarket food bag with a rather tatty piece of paper showing difficult to read minute printed instructions. Other than that all good. Why just four stars? Well there is always room for improvement isn’t there and it is quite expensive for a few bits of webbing and a couple of buckles.

Woreks as it sipposed to. Just be aware that some dogs hate head halters (as my dog did so I had to get a Sporn)

Packaging looks underwhelming. I hope it's a brand new product. It does look new. Sizing wise is perfect for my mini golden doodle who is 13kg.

Absolute game changer! Such a simple design that has revolutionised our walks! We have a strong medium dog and he wouldn’t stop pulling, this collar fixed it in one outing. Nice design, subtle and love that it rewards not pulling by being less restrictive. The reflective aspect is also a bonus. Highly recommend!

I don't get why this product has such a high return rate, unless people may have gotten the wrong measurements for their doggo. But oh my goodness, it's still as amazing as when we were first introduced to it in 2001! Back then, we had a 100 lbs Labrador mix who was crossed with all kinds of ornery, and even after obedience classes and all kinds of training, he would pull so hard he'd regularly yank me down to the ground, break free from my grip, and take off for adventures around our neighborhood (namely running to the nearby cow pasture to roll in cow patties. Which really stunk. Washing cow poo out of dog fur outside on a cold autumn afternoon is not fun, would not recommend). I'm not exaggerating at all when I say the halti collar saved my dog from being dropped off at the shelter, because my parents were just about fed up with the stubborn boy. But then our vet recommended trying the halti collar. And man, was it a game changer! All of a sudden, we could easily walk him! There was no more tugging, pulling, or knocking us to the ground. We could actually get him to heel. And, with positive reinforcement, he grew to love it, even running up to us to put his muzzle inside the halti because he knew it meant we were going out on another delightful walk! And here I am now, over 20 years later, finally ordering my second halti collar as my last one sadly bit the dust, and it's just as good as all those years ago! My Caucasian Shepherd/Pyrenees cross is doing great with it, and I'm so grateful to be able to be able to experience the wonderful joy of using a halti with a large dog all over again! I love how they've improved the design, with extra padding in the halter around the nose area, as well as the fabulous added safety strap to help prevent the halter from slipping off the muzzle! It also has added reflective material which my old one did not have. And, after just a couple of positive training sessions, I'm already noticing a difference in his tugging, and I'm controlling him with a lot more ease. If you have a big dog or a hard to manage dog to walk, I absolutely encourage you to get the halti! It has been a favorite dog walking collar of mine for over 2 decades, and I plan on continuing to use it in the years to come. Definitely recommend!
