Haven't used yet but I did rinse, dry and store it for plant emergencies come winter. It was very low dust and I LOVE the smaller size, perfect for small plants and/or delicate roots. I also loved opening the vacuum sealed pack, was fun to see and hear all the charcoal bits drop and felt like secure packaging. I feel confident my plants will love it. Off of 1st impression it's my favorite hort. charcoal.

Great product

It is a bit pricey for what you get. But I ordered it twice so I knew what I was getting and can't really ding it for something I knew. I love it and the effect on my house plants was nearly immediate. I put full nuggets on the bottom for drainage. Then smaller pieces a mix in the soil, moderately, that I fully top the soil with a layer of the smallest pieces. It works great. One thing I haven't read is advice to water a little less as this charcoal absorbs water and releases it when surrounding soil gets dry. Instead of say, watering once a week, you can go to watering about every ten days or so. Plus when you have plants that need misting the topping layer of the charcoal will absorb some of the mist keeping the humidity factor up for a while.Not for nothing, the plants look really good with this as a topper.

What can one say about charcoal other than it was an ample supply to help build a few little terrariums and add to several small planters. The price was right and I was happy with this buy.

The picture is slightly misleading. I received what is more of a transparent envelope, completely flat, filled with the charcoal. Good quality, but quite pricey for what little you get.

Added to my spoil mix. Both less chunky and very chunky.
