This is a GREAT primer- and, let me specify, it is particularly great for certain circumstances. After having visited my dermatologist and having to get a few spots removed for biopsy, then days later having to attend an event, it works brilliantly to cover (and flatten) areas. It is MUCH thicker than your typical primer, and it works great whether it be flattening the area of scars, scabs, wrinkles, etc. I would submit that the best usage is waiting 5-10 minutes after application to fully let it set and dry, and then proceeding to the rest of your makeup. It is also great if your makeup tends to fall off easily as the thickness and stickiness hold everything in place to perfection.

I can't compare this to any other primer because it is the only one I have used (I have just recently started wearing make up, other than eyeliner and mascara, again). What I can say is this goes on easily. As other reviewers have said, it feels sticky initially, but dries weightless. I also think it dries quickly so keep that in mind when applying. I do feel as though this is a light product, it does not make me feel like I am wearing a mask. I feel like it evens out my skin texture but I am unsure what, if anything, it does for my foundation and powder (both also e.l.f. brand) but I have not tried using them without this primer. So far I am pleased with this product.

Best primer ever! It moisturizes your face while creating a great grip at the same time. Very important to make sure it’s completely dry before putting on foundation or else you’ll be left with a slimy mess. I’ve tried many high end expensive primers, and they do not compare to this one.

I work in a hot sweaty environment and this keeps my make up on all day! The only thing is I am scent sensitive so I wish it had no smell. If scents don’t bother you this is definitely the product to use, it works great!

This is a great product. A little bit goes a long way. Dries a bit tacky, but once you use your foundation, it really helps set it in. I would recommend it for everyone.
